You are free to not agree with the tells I point out. That doesn't mean that the tells aren't there.

The second point makes me think you're missing the point. I'll try to explain it. Think of lurking. Lurking is generally only perceived to be scummy if it is active lurking. This is similar. Posting walls isn't scummy. Posting walls of fluff is scummy. This is made all the more scummy by f_a backhandedly trying to buy herself town points by going, "Oh this is scummy, look at what I am doing whatever I can to avoid."
There is a step between doing the thing and showing why it is scummy. You are missing where I am taking that step.

I'll go through f_a's iso and pick out something to show you what I mean.

As for fluff. Fluff is a broad term that encompasses IIoA, repeating yourself and any other method used to make posts longer than they need to be. Conciseness is a towntell. That doesn't mean short posting, it means posts where everything is important. Fluff is anything you can take out of a post that wouldn't effect the overall result of the post.

What you pointed out is an off-topic prod dodge. tbf going off-topic in a post is an example of fluff. The difference was I'm not using it to make my posts longer.

No, it was used by you to prevent ever having to post any content.

As you said yourself, creating posts where everything is important to town is a towntell. In all of Day 1, when did you post anything important? It was all "prod dodges," as you referred to them. Using simple logic, doing the opposite of a towntell is a scumtell - it means you aren't interested in helping town.

No it means I didn't have time to catch up. I've gotten alot of disrespect in the past as a result of replacing out instead of waiting until the night and catching up.

My only problem with that explanation is that you were still promising catch-up posts D2 and didn't really deliver. You didn't actually catch up overnight. Also this wasn't exactly the fastest paced game in the history of mafia; it would have taken you 10-15 minutes to really catch up at any time on D1. Maybe 20-30 minutes to catch up during night time.

Did you ever look at examples of f_a's posts where a majority is fluff?

Yeah I was asking you to post an example, because I am not seeing the fluff you're seeing.

As far as I can tell, you only started doing ISOs after I replaced in. I replaced in almost a week into D2, so like... I don't know what took you so long. I guess your ISO#18 might have been something you picked up during a re-read but it was really only to do with Haylen's D2 posts, so I'm still wondering what happened to your re-read of D1.

This game reminds me of Christmas when I was 8 years old. Haylen is my mum and I'm expecting something really nice from her, but what do I get?

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

THANKS A LOT, MUM.

Espeonage isn't giving me any presents, either.

I think I didn't got anything for my 8th birthday. My mum had all her money stolen when she went out Christmas shopping. If it wasn't when I was 8 then it was when I was seven.

Town thinks about what's good for the town, not what's good for themselves. Isolation noted. Also, I'm opting out of posting excuses hence why you've heard nothing from me.

I get the feeling I know you from somewhere...Rean...:?

EspeonageI disagree that Buddying is a scum tactic, I often use it as town to quite spectacular effect. :p

Espeonage wrote:@ TS: CC has said enough, get back on the oter wagon we can build pressure. Come back to CC later when we have sqeezed as much out of day one as we can before we decide a lynch. K?

Buddying attempt noted ;) More importantly, the hypocrisy is noted. Hypocrisy tends to be a scum motivated event and I'd go as far as to say it's an inadvertent scum slip because they're actually saying 'town wouldnt bla bla bla' and then they go and do it themselves.

I think I counted 7 of his Day 1 posts as being excuses not to post. I don't like attacking people for being v/la ect, so I think I'll leave it at that.

Espy wrote:At the very least what Haylen has done is anti town and she's lucky there isn't a vig.

What? The reason those walls were that length were because of the amount of stuff I found to comment on when I was doing my read.

I SPOT A CONTRADICTION:

In his Iso 18, he says I seem like scum throwing out town tells and going overboard. But then later on, he posts this about me:

Espy wrote:And what town tells is she giving off?

Suggesting I'm not giving out any...

Conclusion: Might be willing to lynch Espy today. I'll make a definate decision soon.
Seriously. Read your role PM before playing.
I am sorry if you have to prod me, I have absolutely no concept of time.

That's some epic lurking. You mean to tell me you don't have anything to say about any post that's been created in the past 3 days since your last post?

Can you give us some reads at least?

Ok you know what. In the interests of pushing this game forward. I know that I am town. (Obv.) I know the only other possible lynch today is noragar. I may not think that noragar is scum, however logic dictates that from my perspective he is a better lynch.

Noone is going to follow me in a Haylen, f_a or zMuffin lynch.

Have you read the MD thread on compromises? I'm making one now. Town has two, maybe three mislynches left. Lynching myself or noragar isn't that bad of a thing at the moment. Suffice it that you have my reads and decide on a lynch. This town needs another flip. Seeing who attacked the lynchee and when, along with another flip should help clear up the game a bit.

Of course it's opportunistic. Look at the deadline. There are only two possible lynches today. Go through my thought process with me. Two lynches. I know the lynch on me is a mislynch. so I vote the other possible lynch. Why, would you do something different in my position?
