So now that the activity's there, we just need to get some content out of it.
Anyone see this? Could we ACTUALLY have Swag, jily, and DK all as scum?

The chances are way better than 10% unless you know something I don't. Why are the chances less than 33%?
What would you rather we do - sit around and mumble about how serious this decision is while not actually doing anything to clarify our choices?-

Really? We've got a player who admitted he was wagoning a policy lynch without a reason and you ignore him after that. A quote from you:
"Somewhat skeptical of anyone who would immediately join a policy lynch of a person they've probably never played with."
Why I didn't answer your question?Because your question came down to why players were policy voting Deity. It was ignored as it doesn't apply to me.
But seriously, read my sarcasm in this comment and think again whether I responded hostility the last time or not. As for my experience, you only need to know that I know what I'm doing. If I use the 'Don't forget my joindate~' you can lynch me on the spot.
As for my vote, there's only one good way to make use of the RVS. And that's a bandwagon. It's general knowledge that in this game, the best targets would have been Deity or Jilly for a bandwagon.
First the bolded and italicized.. That is my quote and it remains true- and there were several players who I think placed a vote on Deity without proper cause, however I've chosen to question a few to begin with that really caught my attention. Pressure isn't pressure if you do it to everyone- that's just regular scumhunting.
As for you knowing what you are doing, that hasn't been proven. Why do you need to cover up your experience? Withholding and eluding questions in any manner is anti-town. Also, I didn't ask the question in regards to how much experience you have at mafia, the question was to determine if you had just cause to want to lynch Deity.
So your vote was Bandwagoning for pressure? You'd like me to jump on to Swag for openly admitting a bandwagon vote, while you try your best to cover up and elude what experience you have in playing with him and why you placed your vote early in the bandwagon. From my point of view, you are just as bad as Swag it was a bandwagon vote for no reason, so was yours, you can say it was for pressure but with no follow through. Weak excuse, and the fact that the moment I question you- then I am in the wrong and deserve a vote? You are hostile- you need to cool it, it's a game, and if you aren't scum you are a distraction.
@Tomie...Your theory on bandwagons in RVS is just that- a THEORY, which is perfectly fine but not everyone subscribes to that style of play. I would love for you to explain to me what you get from badnwagons in RVS, besides frustrated townies that ultimately lead to Day 1 mislynches.
Also, it is very easy to sit back and wait for townies to slip up- it's called active lurking, I don't try to gain brownie points, I SCUMHUNT...you? I don't know what you do besides try to point out what you see as flaws in game play which aren't actually points at all. You are a feeler- you will keep deflecting, eluding, and trying to get anyone but yourself looked at. I challenge you to ask questions- follow through with pressure instead of coming in and making comments.

Well, you have at least one day to prove yourself useful. You are not doing a very good job with that right now.

Considering we have 22 players, it's most likely that there's more than one scum team. That way we'd actually have more than one third of us scum (in my experience two scum teams will have a total scum count higher than 33%). So yeah, I'd like to hear DK's reason for these numbers and why they are considerably lower than they should be.
DeityKabuto wrote:Fine.

Are you being sarcastic? In any case, this adds nothing to the game and makes people hate you. This will most likely lead to your death. If you are town you do not want yourself die, least in this way. If people lynch you for emotional reasons the lynch gives us far less knowledge than a lynch where people actually have to justify their votes. And first day is there so we can fish for information.
sanchocolates wrote:If Taro posts any irrelevant content within the next few days then I'll be up for a Taro vig.
Why vig and not lynch?
I have an iffy feeling about the people who suggest policy lynches. I feel like day two will start with "See, I can't be scum, DK is not dead. I do not want to play with DK, so if I was scum I would have killed him."ESL, might make mistakes. Sorry.-

Uh... as this is my first game on MafiaScum in a long time, can I ask a few newb questions?
1) Where I come from, the scum ratio is usually 1/3 to 1/4, and multiple scum groups only barely exceed this limit. Why would it be so different here?
2) Why is everyone talking as if they know for certain there's a vig?
But anyways, regarding the game itself, Taro feels to me sorta like he made a legit mistake, and the amount of pressure san and Thor (there are others) are putting on him seems a little extreme. DK seems to be trying to co-operate, so I say that we should at least give him a chance now. The scum ratio numbers, however, do seem awfully suspicious from him. Swagstillhasn't said anything else since that "oh sorry I'll unvote if you want" post, which is frustrating and makes me want to vote him. So I'll give anFoSto bothDK and Swag.

In my irl games scum are usually one third, rounded down. I have also seen a game with scum teams of 4-3-3 and 24 town, so that's to extra scum. And this was only because the smaller scum teams had means of getting immortality.
xRECKONERx, why are you so scared of one vote? There's clearly enough pressure on Swag and I don't see a reason to vote anyone else at the moment.

I'm terrified of a billion votes, that could lynch me.
@krypt - as an amazing exercise how about you vote whoever you think is most scummy. it will amuse me.
@JDGA - I'm here to win the game, not hug newbies and tell them their playstyle that isn't scumhunting at all is still a special and unique snowflake. I do that in newbie games. Out here I want them to be scumhunting or I want them dead.
Also, everyone is talking like there is a Vig because;
a) in a game this size usually there is.
b) if there isn't one so what?
c) If there's an SK who wants to set up a Vig claim for later he needs to know who to kill to look pro-town, so we're cluing him in.-

I'm here.
I'm not especially good at shaking things up (that's a forte of my partner,) but I am pretty good at observing. When I mix it up too much I tend to get tunnel vision and lose perspective. So I've been watching and listening.
Swag lynch is good, DK policy vig or perhaps D2 lynch is worth considering. Parabollocks continues to be subtle scum, Reck is in his Town meta. Thor is as hard to read as ever. Peregrine always seems scummy to me, but no more than usual right now. KoC I scummier than normal, especially the "I don't want to contribute unless there's a threat to me" stance (protip: Town is always under threat. Scum isn't.) Jily is textbook VI, and therefore unreadable.
Those are the ones that stick out to me. Haven't seen my partner at all in a couple days.
