Nobody seems keen on seeing how obviously scummy you are, so I'll find your buddies first and go from there.

You said that content wasn't a tell when you initially started tunneling on me, saying that your vote was purely gut. How could you get a read that was only gut from my "little content" if content in itself wasn't a tell;

zMuffinMan wrote:
Why? Gut. I think you're scum. That's it.

zMuffinMan wrote:No, I'm not. I commented that you didn't have any real content up until that point, but that's not why I think you're scum.

These posts qualify your mindset. You didn't think I was suspicious for my lack of content, but you now claim that you started getting suspicious when I wasn't posting content (it should be noted the game was less than 48 hours old in my phase of allegedly not provided content). Those two quotes absolutely show your gut read was independent of the amount of content I was providing - so what was it based on? How could you get a gut read from my contentless posts, if content wasn't a tell?

You're scum. You made up reasons to suspect me, and the case you dumped about me in 279 are all things that happened after you got your scumread on me. You're trying to justify an initial scumread with a catalogue of reasoning dated after the event. That's not a townie mindset at all, and it's why your scumread on me is bogus.

Is there anyone willing to bail from the Amrun wagon to zMuffin?

@Hoopla,

So, like, what was your point here?

Are you trying to say that when I said, "It's not solely that you didn't post content" that this was somehow incongruent with something I previously said? If so, what? And how does this make me scum?

hoopla wrote:You made up reasons to suspect me, and the case you dumped about me in 279 are all things that happened after you got your scumread on me.

No. I clearly stated in #279 that the way you coasted through the first 4 pages, making jokes here and there and doing nothing of value is what I thought was scummy about your play. It's not solely lack of content. The rest of #279 does have to do with your play after my initial post because durrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr that's what happens as the game goes on.

Try harder, hoopla.

PS: loling at this bravado.

You'll never push a lynch on me, Hoopla, because you know it'll mean your death some time shortly afterward.

You're worried that you won't be able to talk your way out of it after it goes down, which is why you're not even going to try.

Wait a minute.. Just went back and checked who's actually on the Amrun wagon.

Twisted already gone off the Amrun wagon, so you can't be talking to him, and even if you were talking to him, he's already said he has a town read on me.
CES also said he has a town read on me.
I don't think you're asking me personally whether I'd abandon this Amrun wagon to vote for myself (I dunno, maybe you are).

Why did you feel the need to ask the people on the Amrun wagon whether they'd abandon it for a muffin wagon?

That's not how it works, Muffin. I'm already ignoring your Hooplaread as is; I wouldn't put attention to it if you were a flipped townie either.

No, it's nothing to do with whether or no I'm right or wrong. She's not going to push it because it'll be way too obvious.

I'm not the kind of person that says "lynch X after me". But I do know she'll never even try to push a lynch on me because she's worried about looking scummier because of it.

I wouldn't put it past Hooplascum personally, but let's ask her.

Hoopla, do you think you're overly worried about looking townie as scum to the extent that you wouldn't make a scummy play such as pushing Muffin here, accepting for a moment that that would be scummy, even though it may be the right play long-term? (I'm sure you know what I'm describing; it's not an uncommon failing amongst scum.)

Well, my vote was on Rory, but then I felt that Rory was making a good case on you. And CES's on Amrun, and Amrun's on Copper.

I'm sorry, I'm still trying to put all my thoughts in order. I'd like to weigh everything up against each other before reaching a conclusion, and there are a number of people who I have trouble holding onto reads on.

mykonian/Copper wrote:

I'm following, but I'm conflicted on a lot of my reads, and it's hard to keep sight of the big picture.

UNVOTE:

I like the points raised by both Amrun and CES in their last two posts.

CES, between #306 and #315 you flip your read on Rory. What prompted this?

this post makes me worry about you. You are the kind of person who would kill people at night. I really expected less lurking from you. The bolded is odd and scummy.

Why so? I've observed enough towns get carried away tunnelling on other townies, whilst giving scum a free ride that I try to avoid doing that myself. Without stepping back every now and then, it can be easy to get taken in by the players who draw attention to themselves and ignore those who don't.

The problem is, this game moves faster, and has more players, than I'm used to.

Here is a summary off the top of my head:
Hoopla - town but she's good
Copper - town but he posts way too little and has multiple heads to vet his posts
Vitamin - no clue, hasn't made an impression on me
zMuff - seems scummy but I'd like to check meta
forest/malpa - no read, no content
NS/CES - I see it as a slight scumtell that NS replaced out, if it's true he doesn't like playing scum. no read on CES
Twisted - no read, nothing stands out
Amrun - seems scummy but I'd like to refer back, and she's a bit close to lynch
Zito - no clue, hasn't made an impression since the start
Rory - mixed feelings, initially scummy but now I'm not sure.

There's so many "not sure"s that I'd like to feel more sure on before laying down my opinions as fact. And I had to look at the playerlist to make sure I got everyone. Is that normal?
tl;dr
- I just suck at games that are bigger than 7 players.

Well, Fenchurch is town. Alright, whatever:
Vote: Copper

You've been misrepresenting me all game and seem to find EVERY SINGLE THING I post scummy. You're too good of a player for that (and yes, CES, I'm bussing my buddy, thank you).

Hoopla, CES, and zMuffin are all town. Twisted is probably town (though I don't like how his shift towards me in the last few pages), Amrun probably is too. Rory and malpa, who knows. Zito is probably one of Copper's buddies unless he has a great story about his NS vote.

Btw, zMuffin, please make a note of Hoopla's #377. I'll likely be lynched before you ever get to lynch Hoopla and, when I flip town, you should realise that it makes no sense for Hooplascum to discredit CES's read on me. She has no reason to close off that mislynch.

I didn't mention myko did I? My comment about Copper is that it sounds like he has at least three heads, they appear to be strong players and have a policy of thoroughly proofreading their posts, so if they are scum it seems it'd be difficult to find a slip.

You're right that I got the replacements muddled though. In that case I'd be more inclined to lynch malpa than CES.

Hmm, I'm willing to back that up.

PZ, this was what I asked:

Having looked at his games and listening to other players' impressions of him, it doesn't seem like his scum meta is that different from his town meta. He seems pretty scummy no matter his alignment. Vitamin, you act like Hoopla can't retract any of her reads at a later point when her 'scum' reads start popping up as town. #377 means nothing. She's already admitted that all of her 'reads' thus far are based on early interaction with her. She can just as easily change any of her reads at a later point based on new information that pops up or just admitting her reads were flawed in the first place.

But, like I said, I'm not interested in trying to convince anyone to lynch her today, and we'll see how long her town reads stay town reads as the game progresses.

Just ordering my own reads:

TOWN

Twisted
Copper
Vitamin
Fenchurch
PZ
malp
Rory
CES
Amrun
Hoopla

SCUM

Although the middle area {PZ, malp, Rory, CES} is really, really grey.

PZ could stand to post more, or at least comment on more, although he's said he's rereading so I'll wait and see. malp has been unimpressive so far but I had a slight town read on NS. Rory is meh, I don't feel strongly that he's scum, and I had a slight scum read on f_a before CES replaced in although he's sort of working to counteract that.
