It's Day 4. They started on N2. So assume there are 3 people in the cult. There's 14 alive. Assume we mislynch today and scum nightkill town. It becomes 12 players, 4 cult. That's not even close to "in the bag." And then Benmage gets lynched for fakeclaiming and the cult loses a member...it's just not that beneficial.

The ONLY potential strategy I can see is if Benmage is cult and is

so confident on his read he's willing to fake a guilty.

But that doesn't make sense either - if you're going to fake a guilty, why would you do so on Lost Butterfly, who is being extremely protown and will fight back? Why not just blast someone like Magua who everyone would lynch in two seconds?

I have benmage investigative role meta, twice as a tracker, where he pushed HARD on the persons lynch the next day. a 1/1 trade is good for town and benmage knows this. you're saying he doesn't come out swinging for me? yeah, right.

4-4-4 seems like very good odds for cult. Losing one member for those odds doesn't seem too harmful. If he flips cult cop, then he's right about Faraday and this becomes more complicated. If he's town cop, Faraday's scum but lynching him NOW makes no sense as town. I would've claimed D2.

I thought about it. That's why I said this was a hard decision. I really just am trusting Faraday, I guess, 'specially after I saw his governor gambit. Maybe that's just me but Faraday being scum will leave me in pieces.

So, here's the deal:

Assuming worst case probable scenario its 4:4:6 right now. I don't buy a single cult leader unable to recruit for a night. The other end is 4 mafia instead of 3 (I'm still not sure what the right balance is mafia against a cult with the early-game/late-game strength bits).

If cheesehead is town (or scumbots) AND the scum DONT NK a cult AND the recruit is successful tomorrow is looking at 5:4:5 or 5:3:6. These are not good positions especially with any players fleeing like rats from a sinking ship.

DGB for all the calls of being a bad kill was pretty obviously a cult-hunt kill. Scum see the writing on the wall: they, and our, best chance of winning is a dead cult.

Which is why I'm doing this now so nothing STUPID happens tonight and there should be gasps everywhere:
