As CeS says: if the CR doesn't die this cycle, chances are the cult win. Period.
Further, considering chances are REAL HIGH that scum are unrecruitable cult is only a bigger threat to town once they've won: in a theoretical world where its just cult and scum left if cult don't have a majority scum win.
The only scenario where lynching "doesn't matter" at all is if its 3:3:7 (cult/scum/town) right now. With vezok pretty much claiming scum if its 4:4:5 or 4:3:6 we NEED to hit cult today. If its 3:4:6 (I'd be surprised) we need to hit scum.
And, again because this is important: in a large game when we are TOLD cult can't recruit until N2 AND we know there are multiple unrecruitables the chances of it being a 'standard' CR are minimal. Even/odd CR's or CR+recruit at start or other wacky shenanigans I'm missing. The only way this isn't 4 cult at this point is if cult got unlucky.
Watching AGM and benmage share this mantra now is a duh. ESPECIALLY the "omg don't want to lynch vezok" business. I'm not sure what I have to do to beat this benmage business through your heads but its officially driving me nuts:

You NEVER got CC'd. There's two scenarios where that's not happening at this point: Crone is a safeclaim for cult (since I'd still be shocked and awed if you're scum) OR... Crone isn't in the game. If Crone was town OR a scum safeclaim you bet your ass it would have been CC'd there.
So, all of the embodiments isn't necessarily a truth. Yes, if all the embodiments are here they're not all town, duh.
(On that note unless I'm missing something key I don't get the Empking is Crone business).

And, lets make this clear:
If its 4:4:5 today and scum AND cult don't want to bus.... its literally going to take at MINIMUM 2 of the other anti-town faction to get a lynch through. And thats if all 5 of the town are on the same page.
Otherwise, you're going to see a lot of lynches sputter out and die.

Which makes for some interesting business (assuming I'm right about nobus AND vezok being scum):
Esp, Benmage, Hindu & AGM are very, very likely to not be scum.
Add in the fact LB still is probably town that right there means if I'm right about the bussing there's absolutely a cult in there.
Add in the chances of CULT having a daykill being absolutely minimal and you're looking at: Ben, Hindu, AGM.
Now, *gasp* you damn well know who I think it should be but nooo.
