I looked through one completed game of townmeta and several completed scumgames.
In her town game she does try to make town win by thinking about who should be lynched.

I'm back from T in the Park.

Beck, subgenius and ICEninja seem to be agreed that the way forward is to pick a lurker and pressure them with votes until they contribute. I see the attraction, though I'm worried that that kind of vote can turn into a full-blooded killer vote without the voter really stopping to consider whether they're targeting the scummiest player. Bandwagons have their own momentum.

I still think we should lynch Llamarble, because he hammered a player he'd thought was town and showed signs of knowing he'd survive the night. But I seem to be the only one who thinks that.

If we're going to wagon a lurker, let's pick the scummiest one. Like jilynne and Da Koolzzy (and for that matter, ConfidAnon and Captain Spoon), Ivan has failed to contribute any content recently. Unlike those players, though, he's also posting scum lists without backing them up. Hard to know what to make of this, because it's pretty obviously bad play as scum or town. But I think it could be an inept attempt to fish for support - maybe he's hoping people will seize on one of the names in his list and say 'yeah, I think they're scummy too'.

So my (distant) second choice after Llamarble is Ivan the Pleasant. Beck, subgenius and ICEninja, if you guys want to pressure a lurker, let's choose him. Looks like one head's disappeared and taken half the scum-list with him, but maybe we can squeeze something out of him on subgenius and rblinker.

I don't disagree with the Ivan vote, but I'd like to keep my vote on jilynne at least until she returns from her V/LA later today. The problem we're facing here is way too many lurkers, and we can't differentiate between them. There are enough of them that some of them are certainly town. If you are town, and you are lurking or not contributing, PLEASE come back and start putting some heat on someone. We're stalling out here, and a big part of the reason is that we have so many lurkers that we don't have enough active players to simultaneously pressure the lurkers and keep the game moving along. I would like to avoid running the clock out and picking a random lurker lynch without any substantive discussions.

I agree with Tommy, we need to be careful it doesnt form a stupid wagon on someone we pressure for lurking. But I think we should pick Kool to pressure, they've been keeping out of sight most the game. They posted very little for being a hydra.

Ivan i know your a hydra, but although yous are two players, yous only have one vote. Your votes are flying around, you keep changing your vote alot and its wishywashy voting, i know its not a major scumtell, as town can do this as well but it can be used as a scumtell and i do find it little bit odd. You two need to cooperate better, instead of unvoting each others votes, try to work together more.

Ivan, one of you or watever, is keep throwing out scum lists, which you are then claiming they dont mean anything and doing it just for the sake of it, its not helping. The next time you put out a list at least put something with it to tell us why you think there scummy.

Um, differentiate by the fact that Jilynne is SCUM.
SK's posting is all lousy couple-liners that do not show insight or effort to find scum.
Two of his votes are for "flails and contradictions" against Spoon and against Yank "I thought he didn't mention Greymarble."
His vote against Ivan is for making something out of nothing in the THIRD POST OF THE GAME, for saying Yank's 'maybe jester?' post was bad (which it was), and for the 'there isn't a good reason for you to already be defending Yank' post.
And he calls Beck an acceptable lynch because Beck said he didn't care about being voted in RVS but also said Sub was bad for calling him scum. WEAKSAUCE.

I suppose I'll read Ivan and Kool too, but we should really be lynching Jilynne today.

Well, i previously had Sleepy as scum, However, i had him pegged with Acro as scum buddies, but since Acro flipped town i wanted to hold off until we heard something from his replacement (Jily) But, jily has been avoiding the game, and seems to not want to answer much or do much which is a bit weird, the games slowed right down and we need it to get moving again. By Jily just avoiding the game in a way, its anti-town, so i might be up for a lynch of Jily.

Yeah, multiple people have said "Oh Acro and SK are scum! I'mma vote Acro" and now that Acro has been lynched aren't really interested in pursuing SK. FoS scumbuddy vote townie is one of those tells scum just have a really hard time avoiding.
That sort of behavior makes me feel REALLY GOOD about lynching Jilynne.
