Kool was scummy. The vote he put on yank was very suspect. Apart from that I don't remember too much about him

Scott reducing the lynch pool to only those who cannot be masons seems very pro-town however :]

Reducing the lynch pool wasn't Scott's idea. He just picked up on it and has been a bit more vocal about it than some others. I think it was originally Beck's or Llama's idea. I'd have to check to make sure who.

The ONLY problem I have is that list didn't contain everyone's name so there could be scum not on the list

Im assuming he named out the Masons biggest scum reads?

Idk really

Masons aren't usually allowed to communicate during the day. YankCane was just making sure that the people on his scum list couldn't claim mason. I think, all else being equal, we should lynch from the list, but if we can find good reasons to lynch somebody not on it, we shouldn't hesitate to do so.

I wouldn't assume that. I've read games here where masons had day talk. I beleive Sub was even in one of them (found it when doing meta research)

Okay. Well, either way. We shouldn't stop investigating people who aren't on the list.

I was in a game with masons a few months ago, but I don't think they had day talk. Not all that relevant, though. I think Tommy is right. Yank was more concerned with making sure his personal scum reads couldn't claim mason (thereby forcing the real masons to claim) than naming mason scum reads. There's some interesting math that could emerge from that list depending on how the game continues which could be very helpful for finding scum, but I don't think we're quite there yet. At this point, I'd like to stick to the list in large part to avoid accidentally outing another mason.

Magic, although Yanks list may have been full with people voting for him, he claimed it was people who werent masons, and then he flipped mason, so although it has people who voted for him in it, it is still useful for knowing whos not mason.

Then what was the point in telling people about yanks list being full of people voting him, it just makes people question the list, which we probably shouldnt as Yank flipped mason.

v/la
from tomorrow until the 22nd. This means both heads will be v/la, however, I may end up having internet access where I'm going so we'll have to play it by ear.

Rblinker is still town.
Ivan's case is pretty convincing->
Read Sub and yes except for his scumhunting SK which is good bussing if it's bussing.

TOWN:
Llamarble
Magic
Rblinker
Spoon
Beck
Ivan

Blorgtownlean:
SB

Grolbscumlean:
Tommy

PROBSCUM (ISOs dubious and one of these being scum makes a lot of sense out of the VCs):
Sub
Ice

SCUM:
Jilynne

I have a VERY good feeling about this list.
I want to lynch one of Tommy Sub Ice or Jilynne today but I need to read more to figure out who I am most certain about.
Also witholding lynch-influencing information in hopes of dumbscum is annoying.

Tommy wrote:I still feel that Beck is town. He's been earnestly scum-hunting and giving a great impression of frustration at not knowing who to vote. I think that his post 756 is a reasonable explanation of the apparent flip-flop on Ivan.

I think Subgenius ably revealed the thinness of Ivan's case on him. It seems like every time Ivan opens his mouth he shows how little he's concentrating on looking for scum. No wonder he's reticent to expand on his other reads. I'm becoming increasingly happy with the idea of lynching him.

You are transparent as fucking air, you know that?

Town doesn't talk in terms of "becoming increasingly happy with the idea" of something. They just do things.

@ Everyone -

Read the above post and note the following:

1) Buddying of beck, phrased scummily, "giving a great
impression
of being frustrated," yeah right
2) Unsolicited and weak defense of subgenius, consisting mostly of a pathetic attempt to deflect suspicion onto us.
3) "I'm becoming increasingly happy with the idea of lynching him". Tommy, you aren't playing in a town of newbs, it's obvious to anyone who thinks about it what you are doing. You are fabricating a gradual progression of logic and weaving it into the thread to justify a vote later on. Do you think anyone is fooled by your long-winded self-analysis? We have all played scum before, and are therefore intimate with the paranoia that can make a player write something like that. What you are really saying is:

"I'm informing all of you town players that I still suspect Ivan, so that if it becomes politically viable to move my vote over to him, I can do so without contradicting myself. I'm going to couch all of my opinions in this abnormally reasoned and weaksauce tone so that I can defend myself from any conceivable angle of attack"

Town has convictions. Occasionally an individual can be more logical and unsure of themselves than average, but as a general rule, it is primarily the scum that deal in caveats.

My V/LA is less intensive than Ivan the Terrible, so we're gonna do this:

unvote vote tommy

I can only vote for one person at once. I still think Llamarble is the scummiest. How do you reckon town players ought to discuss their changing suspicion levels? Or do you think they shouldn't?

Saying I have a town read on someone isn't 'buddying'. Saying I agree with someone isn't 'unsolicited defense'.

Now that you're back, Ivan the Fool, how would you feel about explaining why you suspected me before post 770? Also, why was ICEninja on your scum list?

Tommy, can you explain how I was 3rd on your list to lynch after marble and Ivan, to thinking I am town in just 4 days

The reason why you said that was because I was scum hunting, however I feel over the past 4 of days the value of my content has actually decreased due to the sheer boringness of this game and my general lack of interest because for once I haven't had to defend myself (usually I am never thought of as a town read, so I was quite happy when Sub's called me out for his interpretation of my reads)

so I would like you to point out what I said between ppst 635 when you made that comment in post 770

I would also like a better case on why you want to lynch marble, because basically your reason with your vote was he hammered a townie and he is avoiding questions, while it is frustrating I know, I have learned on this site that avoiding questions isn't always a scum tell
