So, I've been sucked into the 'craft' world by Total Miner on the XBox.

Is this awesome?? of all the crafty games to come out which would you recommend?

Then it got to night and zombies opened the doors letting the eyeballs in and I died over and over.

Its been a long time since I've felt lost in a game. Its a nice feeling.

Zombies can't open doors except on a blood moon, and never over a two block high drop. The guide can open the door and let them in. The bastard.

this is actually the reason I've avoided joining the MS server. I got Terraria on Day 1, and played with a friend so we could learn the game together. Then one of his friends who had pirated the game joined our server, did pretty much everything, and kept giving us stuff. Before the day was over, I had full necro armor, a grappling hook, and a Ball O' Hurt, and I had never gotten to Grey Wall depth or even destroyed a Shadow Orb. Pretty much ruined the game for me.

It was a combination of that and "I have all this shit and I still dont know how to play this damn game, wtf is a shadow orb"

I agree. I joined the MS server on day 1, dug a bit, built a small house and left. A day later most bosses had been killed, people already had ivy whips, etc, etc. Lost a bit the will to log in again.

If anyone would like to start from scratch on a small world, and play 1-2 hours every other day at a set time, drop me a line on a PM.

I would but I'm pretty sporadic in the time and way I play. I started today going "Ok, today I will mine SO MUCH FUCKING GOLD" then wound up spending all day destroying my floating islands

Hey, I tried hold off on just steamrolling. My character was a clean start (almost). All I brought with me was a Horseshoe, Balloon, Cloud, Grappling Hook, and a Mirror. (And the bricks for my house. and the Hellforge.) And I've since given away one of each of the above to other scummers that I collected on server (besides the hellforge).

I started with copper tools like everyone else. Made my Gold by killing Creeps like everyone else, Got the bombs for the Demo guy like anyone else could, bought the dynamite with the money I earned

, Cthulu showed up by himself, and Died to my Musket I got from the shadow Orb I blew up with the dynamite I purchased etc.

I resent the implied insult.

That's a fucking lot. I've been playing in SP for 3 days and all I have is a cloud and a balloon, I haven't had enough hooks for a grapple since Terraria came out, and I've never even seen a magic mirror or a hellforge in my entire Terraria career. Further, based on the logs you posted in this thread, you pretty much did everything on the server that one can do. So yes, you raped the MS.net server. Saying you gave stuff to forum members doesn't fix anything, as that's not the point of the game.

My point was that I didn't "Rape" the server by just bringing in a trollolol max-geared Character, mining all the floating islands, killing the big three bosses, and raiding the Dungeon for the lulz, inside the first half hour.

And you find hooks on the rock layer, dropped by skeletons. I've found six in a single trip down, in under ten minutes. And a chain is just Iron bars.

Actually, That's the layer to find a mirror too. And sometimes horseshoes/clouds. Balloons, horseshoes, and clouds are often found on floating islands as well.

Obviously, Hellforges are from Hell, and I freely admit to importing that.

If that's the way you guys feel, I'll clear my Gear from the server tonight. I'll leave the Chest containing the Metal Ores, seeing as they're native, but I'm keeping the coinage, gems, and Meteor/Demonite.

One last parting shot though.

Chronopie, don´t take it that harshly. You are an amazing player. But you are playing in the Multiplayer World as if it was a Single Player World, and people don´t see too much fun in that. If you login and find yourself alone in the world, build instead of exploring Or log to another world instead.

As for playing MP like it's SP... I don't really know what to say. I like to dig, to explore. It's what I'm good at. My buildings tend to be utilitarian, if made of fancier materials. Not like your two storey affair on Spawn Heights.

I can understand this, and I guess this is probably my main crime. Particularly the full sets of mid-tier items that I discarded.

This could work. although...

The problem with that one is that there's only rarely several people on at one time. So someone might connect, see no-one else is on, disconnect, only to have someone else do the same a minute later.

This is the type of thing that I would totally join in with. Usually I hate multiplayer minecraft servers because there's already a ton of stuff done and I don't feel like I have anything to do.
