Alright Pine is dropped from the list, I initially assumed (seeing him posting in marathons and such) that he was purposely avoiding this game and solely this game. Obviously I was incorrect to say the least. Though I still fully believe it was productive in some ways.

This day should have ended in his lynch about 20 pages ago. Plus silver has town telled a little.

I know you've recently come into the game, but perhaps you could elaborate on the silver town tells?

His early reaction to the claim from Zinger. Him being on that wagon is actually the only reason he is not one of my top town reads.

Your reason for not having silver as a "top" town read is that he is now on the Zinger wagon...the very same wagon that you just joined.

In fact, when you say this:

All anti-town claims should be lynched on site. This includes claims of maifa, survivor, lyncher or anything else that does not contain the town win condition. We are going to lynch him, so continuing to bicker and everything else like we have been is going to first create massive clutter like already has happened, which leads to ponies apathying out of the game. It also allows scum to make more of an optimal kill as they know more about who is lynchable, who has what reads, and who is going to the a threat to them in subsequent days. So not saying my other reads. Zinger is the lynch today, that is all. The fact the day has not ended is disheartening.

I approach each game differently. Does this answer your question? I don't see how my previous games have any influence on this game.

I think that whole discussion is silly. We have already established that flavour isn't the most relevant thing here. Though, Earl has been in and out of Jail himself, so I don't see how JK is that much of a stretch.

Now, because of the mindset thing I spoke of, we have to throw out D unfortunately. The thing is though, even Zinger would know enough not to change what his role actually is if he was town to the extent where it doesn't look like a standardized role format. What I can see is him being some wierd third party lyncher-esq role, or mafia goon. Each of those fits the bill of not knowing if roles are flavored or not past the character name, since they would presumeably have the same flavoring as vanilla town. So Zinger is scum also caught now for making up an aspect of his role, and continues to be scum for scum. Lynch him now.

Okay. So explain to me how he claimed this flavour:

I am a reformed criminal. After being hit by a car and my wife leaving me for another man I discovered the value of Karma, and decided to change my life by making a list of things I needed to do to atone for my past behaviour.

It doesn't really explain why I am a jailkeeper.

I've answered this already:

2) On Zinger: in my initial post, I included my standard PSA which includes the caveat: "Absent claims, need for deadline compromises, etc. I will always vote the person with the highest score." My reasoning for voting Zinger was essentially claim-based. Obviously, behaviour comes into it, but because it rests on a claim it basically becomes a binary choice between "To vote, or not to vote" rather than a spectrum/relative question like most people's scumminess. In that sense, my points system becomes kind of redundant, since it would just dictate that I give Zinger something like +40 points to clearly stake him out as scum, other than somebody explicitly claiming scum.

The only objection I have to lynching Zinger is that I don't think it's going to derive a lot of information for town. To me, the first lynch is usually an information lynch that has the potential to catch scum but is not all that likely to do so. The reactions surrounding Zinger's bizarre and unhelpful play are pretty uniform across the board. Some argue that Zinger is town, some argue that he's scum or unpleasant third party, but everyone generally reacted as if Zinger showed up drunk to the dance recital and started throwing up in front of the stage. And I think that's a fair reaction. It just doesn't give town as much information and highlights the anti-town nature of Zinger's play. That said, I still want to lynch him.

I'm not in favour of the Silverbullet lynch. I'd much rather lynch:

• Rodion - Just scummy all the way through.
  Meransiel - I hate this no posting garbage and I think you softclaimed scum
  Leonshade - Early exchanges seemed forced and possible distancing
  Junpei - Vifam was scummy and replaced out under pressure. Junpei claimed Tracker and then started burying the argument under walls of text like a cat trying to hide the evidence in the litter box.

A) You say that when someone claims 3rd party they should be lynched, and you have no reason to believe Zinger was gambiting, BUT his play in previous games has proven his willingness to take what seem like stupid risks

B) You say there is no reason for him to claim 3rd party as town, BUT what reason does he have to claim 3rd party if he is indeed 3rd party or scum?
