That was never my reasoning for codfish to be town, there was a post he made that gave me townvibes (I mentioned which one it was, don't feel like looking). The dichotomy wasn't really intended to be a strong dichotomy. It was basically at that point in reading I found them both scummy, but they were unlikely to be scum together because of the "teams" that were being created (albeit weakly).

My issue is that Kondi has been posting all over site (in Marathon games and other active games). My understanding is you don't take V/LAs from specific games just to play Marathons, as a site practice. Sure I may make the occasional post when V/LA if my schedule permits but I don't make 50+ posts during the time the game is ongoing elsewhere while not posting once here.

Also, you're fine with electing Magna at night, even though according to you he doesn't want to be elected? And you want the executioner to listen to town consensus, when Magna doesn't want to? BUZZWORD

I would rather elect someone I trust than Quilford. The night executioner wouldn't have to listen to town consensus. That's why I want magna to be the night executioner rather than the day executioner.

So yeah, Magna is town. His play here does actually resemble his cyclic play (to an extent) and he did take a leading role in that game in terms of crafting a plan. The plan is also definitely something we should be doing.

That actually is a bit odd... I don't think those two quotes were from the same train of thought. I guess it really isn't 100% town motivated if scum have a choice in the executioner and fosses are open.

Only as much as they do in a normal mafia game and they can't influence it nearly as much as they can if scum is elected as executioner.

Well the first step in pretty much ANY plan is going to be getting someone who is probably town elected, for hopefully obvious reasons. The idea is that it would be like a vig shot from an unconfirmed-alignment vig who would then have to justify who they shot.

But anything we learn about the executioner's alignment is just WIFOM and just because it is 100% town motivated, it doesn't make it any more likely that he would hit scum as if the majority was allowed to decide.

Wifom? :\ you can honesty call anything in the entire scope of the game of mafia WIFOM by that logic. Anything we learn by people's speech is just wifom. Anything we learn from peoples' votes is just wifom. Again, it would be like an informed vig that would have to justify their shot. It really isn't, in any way shape or form, wifom more than any other part of the game of mafia.

To me though, the cons of the second plan outweigh the cons of the first plan.

Which is why we try hard to elect someone who is town. Again, I at least personally am better at townhunting than scumhunting.
