IMO the scum have played very well to leave us with a playerlist like this, since Zajnet, Nico, myself, and CSL have all been probably the most targeted players.

Now like I've said, I'm still rather hung up on a Gaoth-Regfan-Nico scumteam. The whole pseudo-voting bloc against me between Gaoth and Regfan really rubbed me the wrong way, in a "oh-look-a-town-lurker-what-an-easy-mislynch" kind of way. So where does the Nico scum connection come in? He's the obligatory bus partner, who is distanced by his teammates throughout the game and ultimately bussed when he becomes too much of a burden.

So here's why I think Regfan is scum, in post form:

Now let's look at the Gaoth-Regfan interactions. There are few and they are subtle rather than blatant. This pings by scumdar because typical scum tactics regarding interacting with each other usually revolve around vague agreement or blatant bussing to avoid being tied to each other. I don't know how anyone else feels but this just rubs me the wrong way.

This was my first real gut feeling. It's the vague "This guy is town, but not super-town" that drew my attention. Flimsy, I know.

I have to prepare for a job interview for the next few hours (It's almost my dream job) but I'm in the process of compiling my current reads and they should be completed and posted sometime tonight. Nico should be back from V/LA so I'm interested in hearing his thoughts on everything and the wagon on him. From re-reading him I can see where the suspicion on him is coming from but I don't exactly agree with it. I'm actually leaning town on him at the moment.

It's funny because if you read Nico's ISO he has pretty much been in the same situation as me, constantly V/LA or lurky, yet Regfan chooses to rag on ME for declaring V/LAs and being lurky. But wait! There's more...

They don't have to believe me, all they have to do is not lynch me that day and they still have a chance. I know that sounds incredibly scummy, but bear with me. Since I'm the only one who thinks I am town, I'd be the only one who knew that the other three were scum. The scum have to keep Regfan alive for potential WIFOM to keep it ambiguous on all ends. Okay, that's starting to confuse me too. IN SHORT: If Regfan is the nightkill, then I will be certain as to who the scumteam is, although the rest of the town won't be. If Regfan lives through the day, then no one will be 100% certain who the scumteam is. So Regfan has to live, it's just advantageous.

So I think DIDDIN will be the kill tonight. It's the most sensible choice, as everyone considers him confirmed town, and killing anyone else would pretty much condemn the scumteam in someone's eyes.

Rereading my little plan really makes me want to clarify something, because my whole "Guys guys please don't lynch me please lynch these other guys not me" plan might really make me look in a bad light. Here's a little blurb about how I'd play scum in this position:

If I was scum at this point I'd realize I was doomed, and just have my teammates mercy kill me to avoid me implicating them in my downward spiral. I WOULD NOT point the fingers at the other people who could very plausibly be my scumbuddies and push push push for their lynch. I don't do gambits like that as scum, I leave that kind of play for better players.

I would agree with you more except that Wraith has gone out of his way to avoid giving reads or reactions (and even gotten "irritated" when asked) because it would cause "WIFOM" tomorrow. I don't think Wraith would bus his buddy even if his buddy was bussing him. He might vote him, but I doubt he'd seriously bus him at this point in the game. It would be counterproductive to try to bus his buddy since Wraith is on everyone's scumlists, has already set up his alibi for being alive tomorrow, and is likely to be lynched tomorrow if he isn't today.

Also, I don't think there's such a thing as too scummy to be scum.

Yeah, I only decided to make my reads secret for a short part of of the day, and that was before the massclaim when 6/8 or so people could have been scum.
