My internet crashed yesterday when I was trying to post here. Not cool.

YesterdayInternet's been awful all day, sorry so I'll make this quick before it goes again.

Got some weird get reads off Parama during my read.
Why are Zang and Twistedspoon trying to outguess the mod and talk about something that is entirely irrelevant to finding scum
Fos both of them
. It distracts from the real purpose of the day thus is anti-town.
Johog might be using 'gut' to hide behind unexplained suspicions. Also anti-town. Find something in thread to back up your reads.

Urgh for the love of. I'll be back tomorrow with stuff.

BB
BB wrote:2 - Philosophy - If you were a cop and got a guilty on night one, would you out the guilty that day(not knowing if there is any protection of course) or would you try to get more scum before outing?

I'll counter that by asking why you wish to know? Scum could find the answer to this quite useful in at least 3 ways I can think of. I also think a better question would be to replace 'guilty' with 'innocent' if you insist on asking that. You also fail to take into account that the cop could be scum himself and have been redirected to his buddies.

Out of all the lurkers, why vote for Johhog?

BB wrote:Haylen: Do stuff.

People say this, it makes me want to do the opposite.

BB wrote: I forget the term, but it's you being so convinced I'm scum in your mind that you create things that aren't there to reinforce your view.

Inconsistancy. You're voting him, and it sounds here like you think/know he's town.

Conclusion:
Could be scum, need to keep an eye on him.

ChairThe only major thing I note about Chair is that he's coming up with all these reads, but isn't giving reasoning or evidence for them.

Wait. What the frick is this? Parama says he's scum and asks for help on a mislynch? And he COMPLIES?

Conclusion:
I don't know how I can't NOT find the scummy.

Unvote, Vote Chair

If I was on Neptune, I'd only be a few hours late. Do you have any idea for difficult it is to post after not sleeping for 48 hrs?

By the way, just because somebody claims a power role, it doesn't instantly make that person town.

I'm pretty sure Peregrin is town at the moment as is Fishy. Both scumhunting and their cases are well reasoned.

I'm noticing that Chair appears to be defending himself more than he is scumhunting which makes him look like he has a scum's state of mind. Scum tend to think 'oh im being attacked. Defend, defend, defend.' Whereas town usually think 'Aww crap. Catch the real scum but it doesn't matter if I die.' ect.

Sath wrote:How do you know scum can daytalk dying the confirmation stage? I read Camn's example role PM carefully: "During the NIGHT cycle ONLY, you may talk with your fellow Mafia". Confirmation stage isn't a night cycle.

Bad attack. Anyone who isn't a newbie pretty much presumes scum can talk during confirmations. (Correct? Or am I just all newbified?) Other than that, Sath seems town to me.

I'm confused, a rolecop isn't the same as a flavor cop, is it?

Johhog is scummy for me. During his iso, I could find very little evidence of scumhunting and if he is, he isn't providing any evidence for his reads.

Lurc seems neutral to town. Some of the stuff he says isn't very indepth. He looks like he's trying to scumhunt but just isn't being very effective at it.

Update on more of my reads tomorrow.

Peregrin, what makes you privy to such information as that list of roles? I might aswell confirm that my role is on that list somewhere.

Redpanda, why the sudden change to Sathoris late yesterday without any reasoning given? Did you expect to obtain a lynch on him especially since we would have gotten a no lynch if BB hadn't been hammered?

Twistedspoons hammer yesterday looks really bad ie really opportunistic. Hey Twisted, are you SK? Cause even mafia wouldn't have drawn attention to themselves like that.

Zang, what's your case on Kanye?

I think someone asked me a question yesterday that i forgot to answer...any takers?

Oh wow. I read something...and it doesn't register. All I can say is 'Oops, I'm a bit absent minded.' Not the first time I've done that in a game, definately won't be the last.

Twistedspoon wrote:Hey Haylen, are you SK? Cause even mafia wouldn't have drawn attention to themselves like that.

Unfortunately, my luck isn't that good. Just had an SK game, probably wont get another one for 6 months and by god, I WILL win it even if I have to use methods I'm not proud of. I notice you didn't answer the question.

Hey Zang, clearly I read the thread to be able to drag a quote up from somewhere.

Unvote Vote Twistedspoon
Do not like the hammer yesterday. Do like Chairs case on him, read it seems legit.

Why does Twistedspoon have 2 votes?

I'm just going to go with it and pretend I understand why somebody had a lecture on that.

Jesus christ, I was asleep. Apparently, unlike some of you, I don't sprew out defences in my sleep.

Claim Protector - Role: Psychiatrist.

Target was Twistedspoon on Night One. - I though I hit on target here because Twisted got all pissy about the SK jibe I made earlier plus there haven't been any kills.
Targetted Parama

Ponderizations from before:
I disagree, active lurking is anti-town, lurking is anit-game. I've been prodded two or three times this game, when I have posted it's been an attempt at providing content. I don't see how the post that Fishy quoted provides any sort of evidence for a motive of killing Kanye. Personally, I think a name cop would benefit scum a lot more than it would town. Here's a game with a Mafia Tracker, that's kind of similar to a watcher in the fact you wouldn't expect mafia to have that role.

To be honest, I'm not really sure. I've been entertaining the theory that their may be an SK without a kill or the scum faction doesn't have a kill - I mean look at the other roles in this game. Anyone who says they'll never be a scum faction without a kill should read a Jungle Republic game. I thought I had hit on target with TS and that's why there wasn't a kill but then he flipped scum. Another player can't be preventing the kill because a roleblocker/jailkeeper wouldn't continuously target the same person two nights in a row this early in the game especially without claim/tracker result. It's too unrealistic. So there's either a faction without a kill, or there's no SK.

Chair wrote:But a much simpler explanation is that psychiatrist is a claim which lets haylen stay in the game with the excuse "oh, i haven't found the serial killer yet, but i will tomorrow night!"

Also unrealistic. What do you expect me to do as a psychiatrist? Have an instant knowledge of who is SK? No, I'm not making any promises, maybe I wont even hit the SK this game, maybe I will? Since you appear to be all knowing, how would you find an SK in a game full of townies having a natural scumminess/real scum/actual SK, plus power roles? There's so many different vibes going on here that it's impossible.

Uh, I dont think there's an SK anymore. Check out the ordinary townpersons wincon on the example role PM's in the first post. The win condition wouldn't make sense because we'd win even if an SK was still alive and all mafia were dead.

@ Parama - That inconsistancy you pointed out where I said about the SK not existing and then hoping it chucked him under a bus? That was some sort of emotional charge. I was angry that my roleclaim wasn't being believed.

@ Chair - What part of my argument cemented me as scum? And why haven't you brought this up before?

I'll take a look at Johogg tomorrow and see if I can find anything lynch worthy there. I need sleep right now though. Double statistics at 9am.

I'm trying to get some sort of feeling into the game and can't :( I'm hoping a month long hiatus after I end all my games will help. Bare in mind anyone who fancies blacklisting me for my recent play in games, I really am trying to get back up to standard, I'm still figuring out a way to get The Spark back. I feel constantly tired, maybe a break will help more than one thing.

I have a theory. It's one that makes sense to me anyway. Myer's Briggs can be separated into 4 catagories, Artisan, Idealist, Guardian and Rational. I think that scum are the people people with the 'rational' myer's briggs role names. Either that or it's one person from each. These are the categories.

Artisan:

Composer
Performer
Crafter
Promoter

Idealist:

Champion
Counsellor
Healer
Teacher

Guardian:

Inspector
Protector

Provider
Supervisor

Rational:

Architect
Fieldmarshall
Inventor

Mastermind

If scum are all rationals then that is incredibly broken and I rule for figuring it out.

Hmm. If Peregrin was scum, since he's obviously Field Marshall and fakeclaims had been provided, then there would be no way that logically he would play up to the field marshall role, he'd play up to the fake claim role. I'm sure there's 1 scum in each of those 4 groups in that case and third party in the other. Unless on of those categories has no scum and the psychiatrist role is a red herrin which really wouldn't surprise me.

I was hoping it would be that easily broken, hope and logic are entirely different things.

I liked this game, setup amused me and was a good revision tool :p The town played really badly. I played badly. Scum should've used their fakeclaims.
Seriously. Read your role PM before playing.
I am sorry if you have to prod me, I have absolutely no concept of time.

My prefered pronoun set is "cie/cir/cirs[elf]" but they is more than acceptable.
