END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT:

0: I am the mod of this game, and thus have absolute power. All decisions I make are final. I can't cover every eventuality in rules, so play it smart. Punishments will be decided on a case-by-case basis.

1: Play to win.

2: Do not discuss this game outside of this thread, unless your role PM gives you the ability to do so. This includes real life, other threads on this site, PMing people on this site, and activity on other sites.

3: Do not use any form of cryptography in your posts. This includes small/invisible text, strings of numbers that requires a 'key' to unlock, and hiding secret messages within a message itself, through capital letters or through use of a key.

4: If you want me to read it, put it in bold.

5: Do not impersonate the mod or other players.

6: All Days are two weeks long. All Nights are three days long. No extensions, no mercy.

7: If several players are absent, either due to lurking or V/LA, the active players may vote Thread Lock. If Thread Lock is voted by half of the active players, the thread will be locked and deadline extended until all activity issues have been resolved.

8: Every day at 9:00 PM EST, the thread will be updated. Votes will be counted and actions will take effect. If you vote or take an action after an update, it will not be counted until the next day. I may be late some days, but I won't count votes made after noon until the next day.

9: If you do not post in between updates without having given me prior knowledge of your inactivity, you will be prodded. If you do not respond to the prod or post within the next day, you will be replaced. If you receive three prods, you will be replaced.

10: Items can be given to another player at any time during the day. Items can also be destroyed at will. PM me to perform either action.

This is not a bastard game. I will never lie to you. There are no role or alignment altering mechanics. The roles may be unusual, but they are balanced. The game is designed to be swingy, and defy your expectations, but you're not supposed to try and second-guess me. Follow the rules, and you'll be fine.

Prodding Friend Mairsil and Robocopter87.

EDIT: I did some digging, and it looks like Friend Mairsil's flaked. First I noticed he hasn't picked up his role PM. Then I looked at his profile, he joined the site on the 1st of this month, and he's only made two posts, /inning for this game and another non-newbie one. Either he's an alt that someone's forgotten about, or he's a new user that's in way over his head. If the former, I don't want anybody screwing with this game because of meta, and if the latter, he's not the kind of player that should be in this game, especially not with Reck waiting in the wings. I'm replacing him and PMing Reck now to see if he wants the spot.

Robocopter's picked up his PM. He hasn't posted on the site for a couple days. I sent him a prod and a link to the thread. Hopefully he just went V/LA for a couple days and will return soon.

In the meantime, you can post here as much as you want, just don't expect any votes to be counted.

OK, I've tried to be relaxed about prods and activity up until now. I never intended to stringently enforce the 24 hour prod rule, relying on my not so subtle deadline hints to encourage activity. But this has gotten out of hand. Captain Corporal has told me he's V/LA, and is thus safe. Everyone else who has not posted since last vote count gets a prod. This means the third strike for Robocopter87 and Chronopie. DeltaWave replaces Robocopter87. Seeking a replacement for Chronopie.

As a general rule, I try to keep mod involvement in the game to a minimum. I believe the natural consequences of inactivity should be enough of a discouragement. You've been active for the most part, so I let it slide. But over the last few days you've gotten no closer to a lynch. I remind you all that there will be no deadline extensions for this game.

OK, let me start off by saying that I'm sorry I missed today's votecount. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, I'm at uni for the morning and a good chunk of the afternoon. Luckily, I have a break in between classes that allows me to post the VC at noon on my laptop. I generally make the VC before I leave, then check the thread once more before I post it at noon.

Today, my laptop decided that it wasn't enough to pop up bizarre and undecipherable error messages at startup, continually think that there is a device attached to the faulty USB port, overheat for no reason, randomly disconnect from the school's wifi, occasionally refuse to acknowledge the very existence of the school's wifi, and shut down whenever I try to play a game or watch a video. No, it took a further step towards utter uselessness. First it shut down my browser, erasing my vote count, a PM I was writing, and a post I was making in another game. Then it refuses to open Google Chrome. According to my laptop, Google Chrome does not exist. I'm typing this from my home computer.

So, because of this, all votecounts/updates will take place at 9:00 PM EST. That's the best time that works for each day. Today's deadline is extended 9 hours to account for this.

I'll post the setup and night actions if desired, but first to answer a few questions I'm sure you have.

The deadline:

I tried to make it as obvious as possible, but the deadline was part of GLaDOS' wincon. It was the reason for the harsh activity rules and constant countdown. GLaDOS had 3 ways to win, the standard SK last player alive, the deadline, and an item related wincon.

The items:

There were 5 kinds of items in the game. Ammo was used to power abilities for some characters, more specifically Spy's strongman, Pyro's daykill, Gman's Roleblock, Engineer's Sentry, all of Freeman's abilities, Magnusson's PGO, Sniper's kill, and Dr. Vance's Cop. Medkits had the potential to cancel Pyro's daykill, players would've had 1 RL day to put out the fire or that player would die. This was the reason for regular vote counts, and I think it a shame the daykill was never used, I consider it to be one of the finer points of the game. Cake was useless for the most part, but GLaDOS could use it for one of her wincons. Headcrabs destroyed the other items in someone's inventory. The Weighted Companion Cube was unique, possessed only by Chell. If GLaDOS had both Cake and the Cube, she would automatically win and be removed from the game.

The drops:

Drops occurred at the start of each day, when one week was up, and at lynch. These were made public. VALUE1 determined which player got the item, using the player list on pg. 1. VALUE2 determined the type of item given, 1-40 was Ammo, 41-70 was Medkit, 71-90 was Cake, 90-100 was Headcrab. You could also get items by hammering or killing a player. This would allow you to get the item secretly, and was the only way GLaDOS could've gotten the Cube. Items could be traded, in fact there was one example in game where a player gave away an item, but it was sent to someone else because of Hiraki's bus drive.

I know I did a shitty job modding this, I hope it brought you some fun nevertheless. It was pure bad luck that the game started at the same time as school. I don't blame you if you're mad about the way it ended, I tried to make the consequences as obvious as possible without giving it away. I'm still new to modding, and would appreciate all feedback, both on the setup and my attempt to run it.

@ Robo: Yeah, I screwed up with the FLAVOUR EVERYWHERE bit. There was a similar issue in the scum QT.

@ DH: I crammed a lot of mechanics that I was eager to try out into this game, future games I mod won't be as crazy. I shouldn't have assumed that the deadline consequences were obvious.

@ quadz: Actually the 'town loses if deadline is reached' concept was one of the first inspirations for this game, so I was loathe to part with it. You're right though, if the item wincon was reached I wouldn't have ended the game, I should've done the same for the deadline.

'Guest' was Gman, because he was the only non-BLU member of the scumteam. Just something I threw in. I thought numberQ would figure it out and tell you guys, then I figured it was better to leave it unexplained for maximum :DRAMA:.

I intended rule #7 to be a counter to the neurotoxin. Weird how everyone was overanalysing the wincons but nobody noticed the neurotoxin messages.
