That seems like a derpy gambit that has the potential for immense harm and little gain.-

At the time, I was looking at the following:
2 dead scum
Two outed PRs
Town Doctor dead
Tracker was confirming town with every night kill. If both PRs were town, then my plan ensured the tracker lived two nights, confirmed a town each night. That left us, when the tracker died, with 3 living players and two confirmed town, or one confirmed scum.ShowThat which is done out of love always takes place beyond good and evil

Nominate Succession Mafia II for Best Flavour Text
Flavor immersion was high.
- Played on a representation of the actual RiverQuay map
- Pregame Flavor, snippets during the game made it feel like an actual mob war
- Also night action flavor helped make you feel like you were playing your part. I've added one of my night action results as an example.
Spoiler: Night Result
Nominate the Tree-stumped Cult Recruiters in Succession Mafia II for Best Mechanic/Mutation
- Every cult game has the problem of "You need to lynch the recruiter before lynching recruits"
- The idea of Tree-stumped recruiters avoids this problem totally. I think these will\should become the norm for most pre-announced cult games.

I get to say this because I am going to decline the nomination for Best Mechanic (with the double-votes):
I completely fail to see how making a Cult Recruiter a "stump" somehow remedies the problem of a Cult. It essentially boils down to the following:
Instead of being able to stop recruiting once and for all by lynching the Cult Leader, the only way to stop the cult from recruiting is to completely eliminate the Cult. And since Cults recruit as fast as you can lynch them, it makes beating the Cult even harder than usual. Effectively, if the Town doesn't win within the first few days by breaking a Cult down to having no recruits, it's just a matter of time until the Town loses. Add the fact that the Cult can apparently recruit Vigilantes, and you have yourself a recipe for a lost Town. I am not going so far as to "anti-nominate" here, but I certainly hope reviewers don't suddenly think this is a "solution" to the Cult problem. (And apparently the reviewers are rather susceptible in approving cult "fixes," given that a recent Best Mechanic was a Cult twist a year back or so.)

No?
The best role award was given to malth for a cult that gave recruits one guess to identify the recruiter, keeping their win condition and killing the recruiter if successful, but that doesn't seem Really comparable to a cult with a tree-stumped leader.-

I know arguing against myself is a bad thing and I should stop doing it, but Scummies are usually for successful projects. :\In post 1094, DonJosh wrote:Why hasn't Vi gotten anything for the EV Project?

It sparked a nice conversation about the practical value of theoretical win rates though. And a few interesting theory/gambit side pages came out of it.Everything you say and do matters. People will respond in ways you may never see. May those responses be what you intend.-

Here and here.In post 1096, gandalf5166 wrote:What is the EV project?
It also spawned a few cool theory pages and definitions, plus discourse on them. Unfortunately, I have to agree with Empking that theoretical win rates don't actually mean a lot in practice, because the means by which those win rates are produced are not realistic.Everything you say and do matters. People will respond in ways you may never see. May those responses be what you intend.-
