And I have no flavor knowledge, as I haven't had time to read more than the very beginning of The Silmarillion, and when my dad lent me Children of Hurin, I was very little, just finishing my first readthrough of the original books, and I thought it was boring, so I never read it.

You aren’t confusing me. I’m directly saying that I find it suspect that you are using source flavor alone as justification of alignment. Especially in a game labelled bastard.

I see this game as being bastard to the extent that Plum needs it to be so that the game can work properly with the actual story- not bastard in the sense of "I'm going to screw with everything you think you know". EXAMPLE: Bastard because we don't know our roles, and you couldn't give a player a "you don't know who you are or how you win" in a normal game. Its not bastard in the sense that Empking's Cthulhu game was where all PRs died if they ever acted at night. You see the difference I'm trying to point out? She's making it bastard to make the game work and stay true to the novel- not in the MINDFUCK or MODTROLL sense.

The pointlessness is intentional. I'd rather not risk potentially voting off everyone on my scumteam but me and then recovering my memories and being absolutely fucked. I'll give opinions, but mostly I'm just trying to stay alive until I get my memories back. I might vote if you need it because we're getting close to deadline, but other than that, don't expect me to be a driving force. I think both of the current wagons are probably scum, if that helps.
