Revelation Mafia

is a game for 7 would-be (anti)popes. It takes place during the Western Schism (but uh, don't expect too much in terms of flavour) and has a nifty little mechanic I call Revelation.

Revelation:

As sole representative of God on Earth, the Avignon Antipopes have a unique source of information - the Mafia know the set-up.

Note: this game is based in part on a game I modded during Goofbash, so if you remember anything from my modded games there, please refrain from participating.

A dead body has been found, slumped over the kitchen table with a sharp knife protruding from its back. All the usual suspects - The Formans, their neighbors, and that group of kids that hang out in their basement - gather to try to find out which of their number is responsible. What they don't know is, there's more than one person who had motive to commit this diabolical act...

Game will have 12 players, with smalltown roles based on the characters from the hit sitcom starring Topher Grace and Ashton Kutcher. There will be 13 available roles, and the one that doesn't get picked will be the murder victim whose death sparks off the events of the game. The setup is smalltown meaning that all role abilities are known, and will be chosen in a randomly-ordered draft before alignments go out.
