I wouldn't be 'rolefishin' if it weren't for certain players claiming on the first day of the game without any reason ...

Fenix states he was kidding, and you appear to be serious.

Either way I don't see how it can benefit the game this early to announce the fact that you have a daykill. If I had such an ability I would keep that to myself and use it at a time I felt it was needed. That's me though.

Discussion and reactions, both of which we have now. It was pulled off quite terribly on my part. I've seen it work much better in some of the games I've read.

He's trying to WIFOM us. He is either actually a Jester or he is trying to make us think he is jester so we don't lynch him, when really he is scum.

It is common play in the quicker formats of the game, like in real life or chat games or the SCII Mafia game.

Best way to deal with it is to just to ignore him.

I think I might be a little confused but it seems as if you guys are saying that jester isnt a playable role in this format and didn't Anxiety counterclaim jester?

Based off of your guy's experience would you say a fake claim like Fenix's would be more likely town or scum motivated?

Scum can't be so stupid as to draw so much heat on themselves like that. Townies definitely can be, though.
