Wikipedia wrote:Michael Christopher Kelso usually referred to simply as Kelso by his friends is one of the five male leads on Fox Network's That '70s Show, portrayed by Ashton Kutcher. Tall, lanky and long-haired (except for much of season 7 and the series finale), he is the dim-witted pretty-boy of the group, coasting through life on his good looks. His behavior is very much in line with a stereotypical oversexed lunkhead or a male-bimbo. He spends most of the series in a mutually parasitic relationship with the equally vapid Jackie Burkhart, whom he continues to obsess over following their numerous breakups. In spite of his stupidity, Kelso was shown on several occasions not to be immature, simply unmotivated; when he was either forced to or chose to, Kelso displayed startling intelligence unbecoming of his usual personality or hijinks. Near the end of the series, Kelso became one of the first characters to completely break away from adolescence and into adulthood when he impregnated a girl with whom he had a one-night-stand; to his friends' surprise, Kelso took responsibility for the child, moving to Chicago to take a job to support and be near his newborn daughter.
hahahaha

Does it matter?
Clearly I don't go accusing people of being scum on page 4 or whatever when most of the players haven't posted with the intent of being taken seriously. If I did, I would provide reasoning.
In post 117, iamausername wrote:What exactly do you expect to achieve by calling people scum for no reason whatsoever at this point in the game?
Reactions, which get me reads.
For example, the scumread I just attained on you.-

Oh so ConSpiracy, you thought I was being perfectly serious when I called MoI, kdowns and hiplop scum on Page 5 with no reasoning when half the playerlist hasn't posted. Definitely.
Also, perhaps you might consider that iamausername used my joke to level an accusation at me as a reason for me being irritated instead of setting up your false dichotomy.
VOTE: ConSpiracy
At least one of you and iamausername are scum.-

1. You called it a joke yourself
2. "At least iam did this, while you are doing this"- is defending iam's reasoning to me.
1. I called it a joke because you had called it a joke in the post prior. I was just copying your language. My initial response to iamausername pretty clearly indicates it was a reaction test, not a joke.
2. I am offering an alternate explanation for why I am irritated.
PEDIT: Heyy, MoI has a scumread on Seacore
I like it-

I called it a joke because you called it a joke. I was simply adapting my language so that you would know what I was talking about, and I hadn't actually stopped to think about the fact that it wasn't.
You set up the false dichotomy that it not being a joke = me being irritated when in actual fact it was iamausername using it to level accusations at me = me being irritated.-

Go and compare my bluntness here with bluntness in games in which I am scum, hiplop.
For my next trick I will go on to show how ConSpiracy is wrong and I am right, but first:
Farside, to your first question of "How?", I would ask why it's a meaningful question. I think it's pretty obvious iama tried to be as withering as possible in her post and attempted to paint me in a if-not-scum-then-stupid light.
To "Did you really think no one would ask about why you were claiming players were scum in the middle of a serious conversation?" I would say that of course I thought someone would ask, that's the point of a reaction test. I think my post clearly resembled the more lighthearted assertions that are made in early game.-

Okay, ConSpiracy says that I initially called my reaction test a joke so it cannot be a reaction test and therefore I am scummy.
My initial response to that was "I called it a joke because you had called it a joke in the post prior. I was just copying your language. My initial response to iamausername pretty clearly indicates it was a reaction test, not a joke." ConSpiracy replied, rather incoherently, with "Apparently it wasn't reaction testing enough to say that." Not knowing what he meant, I tried to restate my position with "I called it a joke because you called it a joke. I was simply adapting my language so that you would know what I was talking about, and I hadn't actually stopped to think about the fact that it wasn't." and got a new response in "That's not a reason to call it a joke, you'd specify that."
So ConSpiracy isbeing incredibly thick minded here. If you don't believe my explanation that I was copying his language then take a fucking look at the "joke" itself:
"VOTE: kdowns
MoI is also scum. hiplop too.
Now to find the SK."
A joke, according to Google, is "A thing that someone says to cause amusement or laughter, esp. a story with a funny punchline." The fact that what I said does not meet the dictionary definition of joke should indicate that my explanation is correct, but what's even funnier is that ConSpiracy is arguing that a joke cannot be a reaction test.-

Iam when where you going to tell me. I know tell me who is scum. Come on you apparently know what people are thinking here!
Are you serious? I went through this with ConSpiracy for a few awful pages. The whole "say three people are scum when half the playerlist hasn't posted yet" thing should've been a clear indicator.
In post 238, farside22 wrote:2> It's a valid question. You make a statement, you expected someone to call you out and your saying that it's scummy to ask you about your reads and know your not serious?
The point is, it makes me look scummy and stupid.
These elements combined in iama's post made me gain a scumread. Honestly, I don't know what's up with people and their apparent inability to read these days.
I feel oddly about the MoI / IceGuy shenanigans. I haven't actually read them because I lack a desire to pore through quote walls at the moment, but I think it's pretty possible that MoI!scum feels IceGuy is an easy target after Execution Mafia 2.-

mb53 has three posts and is an early game doublevoter. Obviously I wasn't trying to protect him.
I was trying to block him because I felt scum may take advantage of his absence to submit the kill through him. Additionally, I didn't have any particularly strong scumreads in light of iama's flip.
Additionally I didn't feel like wasting my ability on you; I reasoned if you were town that scum would think I was protecting you and that if you were scum you wouldn't be submitting the kill because you'd think I was jailkeeping you.The Kill Delayer, jasonT1981, can protect you from now on considering you only need to be alive until tomorrow to name us the innocent.-

Don't see any 'must' there.
In post 272, Quilford wrote:comes out of nowhere
First, I want you to explain why something "coming out of nowhere" is relevant. Secondly, of course it came out of nowhere. I logged on at6:19 pmor thereabouts and checked the thread. I then posted this. I hadn't even realised that something was amiss, there being only one kill: http://www.mafiascum.net/forum/viewtopi ... 5#p3506435
Then I remember that I jailkept mb53 and posted it 5 minutes later, at6:24 pm. I then spent twenty minutes puzzling over what it meant - I initially thought I had jailed the serial killer, believe it or not, but then I realised that Fonz would almost definitely have found a replacement if that were the case. So then I thought that I must've blocked the mafia. And then I had the epiphany that mb53 would be the perfect way to submit the kill as scum. He can't report about his night actions because his slot's absent, people have probably forgotten about him, and best of all: he has no night action.
In post 272, Quilford wrote:It's not "I jailkept mb53, only one kill, die nao," but specifically "mb53 is mafia" and "mb53 was proxied."
These quotes aren't mutually exclusive. I figured that mb53 was scum of some sort after there was only one kill (duhhh), but then I realised it would make even more sense if a mafia member submitted the kill through mb53, to avoid attention.
In post 272, Quilford wrote:explained away D3 with "Guess I must've protected against the kill" or "Guess a kill got delayed".
Explained away? These are the only two possible reasons, along with scum no-killing, for there to be no kill last night. No matter my alignment.
The best thing is that this is the only thing you seem to have against me. The second best bit is that you haven't even stopped to consider things from the perspective that I'm town.
The third best bit is that you're pegging Jason and I as the scumteam, when we have both been scum on the same team before: and let me tell you, this is not how I play as scum, much less as scum with Jason.-

In post 335, kdowns wrote:I don't like how the fact he was trying to lynch mb53 for him JK him last night when he should of JK Seacore, but didn't because "He felt as if he wasn't in danger of being killed that night" as it seemed like he knew exactly who was going to be killed at night, and as for there only being one kill, there is also the possibility that Scum and the SK targeted the same person during the night phase. So it seems like he was pushing for a sorta policy lynch on Day 2.
No, I didn't jail Seacore because I thought the scum thought I would be jailkeeping Seacore. Plus, I found him scummy, but I knew that if he were scum, he wouldn't be used to submit the kill as the mafia would be expecting me to jailkeep him.
The chance that the scum and the SK targeted hiplop of all people -- hiplop seems like a good SK kill, by the way -- is miniscule. So no, I wasn't pushing for a policy lynch.
Your use of the term obvious only adds to the impression you're scum.-

When a townie is quickhammered, always lynch the hammerer. I haven't played in a single game where a quickhammer on town was performed by a town player.
Other players I'd be willing to lynch are kondi and ConSpiracy. Feeling uneasy about Seacore.
This reeks of Policy Lynch.

You never implied SK. In fact you question to the mod was in reference to mafia sending in the kill
Also you did not consider there is a limited doctor.
farside, I have explained all this.
If mb53 were a Serial Killer, he would've been replaced during night. It's already hard to win as an SK, and missing a nightkill would be unfair. Also, hiplop seems like a much more likely target of the SK than it does of the Mafia -- hiplop was under suspicion yesterday. So that's why I didn't think mb53 was the Serial Killer.
You make the point that te Kill Delayer could have protected him -- why would anyone protect mb53? He's wing replaced, he wasn't particularly town, and we've been looking for a replacement for him for ages.
I'm on my phone at the moment, so I'll get the meta later.-
