Okay, well then, since Sorg has done this dance, I'm quite happy with the results there

1) Well sure any of them could have done the killing action - but so could have sorg
2) The town getting free lynches while the scum doesn't get free night kills is beyond odd. Marketplace mafia had FIVE SCUM to balance out this mechanic (because 8:2:2:1 nightless is prolly balanced). Frankly, we should have had the scummiest person each day spend 20 points on NK and self shoot, but that's water under bridge.
3) Scum killing EMP is a joke
4) Scum hitting the guy who got bulletproof means he'd probably be informed of the loss.
5) If the protect was used, it would be claimed. No reason to use it if a town read bought night kill and you don't know NK mechanics.

Now you are saying the mafia bought protect and protected their own NK from themselves, or town bought protect and protected the NK, but doesn't want to tell anyone. Why would they not want to tell anyone?

Bus drive WAS NOT directed to EmpKing, and it's target is still alive, so that doesn't work.
