re-skimmed the thread because i was feeling bleh

NS has basically been worthless so far, in his town games i've always noticed an effort at scumhunting when he does happen to post (even if I generally disagree with his conclusions) , here I'm not seeing any of that. he basically ignores the kondi wagon and comes in a joke daykills equinox (which incidentally means a ns/kondi scumteam is unlikely) which i thought was off. mostly though i don't like his response to the initial vote - it feels really off to me. the 'tell me when the real game starts' is retarded too, but probably not scummy.

hawk's lack of engagement with his vote is worrying. like wagonhopping is fine and pro town but i don't get the sense he really believes any of the votes he's making. worse i can't even FOLLOW any of the votes he's made so far like, they don't make sense to me given the context of what's happened since he last posted.

I think it's more relevant in cross_pollination's case, cp's newbienesss explains most of the percieved 'scumminess' people seem to see, and is primarily why I have him read as town.

I think his newbishness likewise explains all of his perceived scumminess and is therefore null.

(Which, again, was my point about c_p: handing out a newb pass is not a reason for a town read, but only a null. And yet you use it as a towntell.)

You are treating SH differently than CP and I'd like to know why.

I'm not saying C-P is town because he's new though, I'm saying his actions combined with his join date make him exceedingly likely to be town.

I don't find SH's join date relevant to the things I find scummy about him, newer players are usually more careful with his vote if anything. He's not - he's parking it frequently with very little conviction, each time he's placed a vote it's felt weak.

Yeah, I've no idea what offsite c_p is used to but if I had to guess it's probably a 36/48 hour day that seems commonplace on most other mafia sites I've encountered.

But I mean you're ALSO treating them both differently - you have SH as null and are saying the superficially scummy things make him null, but cp's make him scum.

I've already explained pretty well to FLP why I thought C_p was townish (it's a couple of pages back), I think. I'm not really sure I can elaborate a lot more because that's kinda all there but but I am fairly happy with it, but that's what gives me my read on him.

I never said you said that (or didn't mean to imply it) but you're also treating both 'newbs' differently. What about his actions are 'newb scum', or if you've explained in more detail beyond your initial vote just link or something.
