It was pretty fucking explicit... I'm 1-shot, hello. The only way for me to GUARANTEE I got to both use my shit and share my results was do it night 0 (I didn't know if scum had a kill but knew that if they did, they were highly unlikely to target either me or SV).

I saw SV as a likely endgame player, and an innocent on him would go a long way.

I figured to be dead night 1, since I was SO FREAKING OBVIOUS on day 1... But my idea was that as soon as I flipped cop, everyone would put 2 and 2 together if they hadn't already.

This is the post you are talking about, no? So you didn't trust yourself to survive one day and improve your chances significantly? Assuming you can rule out 1 person as a town read, and town get lynched you are looking at a 2/7! that's a 28.5% chance as compared to a 22.2%! And that's with only one town read. Why did you think you won't have made it through d-1?

I have a couple of polarities. Given the size of the game and the players, I saw about equal chances for me being strung up day 1 and me being shot night 1.

It was a big debate I had with myself, and I knew doing it night 0 would be really unorthodox, but I KNEW KNEW KNEW an investigation on SV would come in handy no matter the outcome. Of course, I was right. Had I not had a result on SV, he may have been lynched any day, especially day 1, and he would be a prime target for you guys right now (especially since he's a direct opposition to SC with the difference in vanilla claims).


Also note that SC is forced to paint both me and his partner CD as scum now, when SV also has a different sort of guilty on him. (Interesting that he chose me and not SV, but he's done it now.)

I investigated SV because he is a common mislynch and almost guaranteed to make it to endgame. I also have somewhat of a hard time reading SV.

I wasn't using meta to determine his alignment. I was using A COP INVESTIGATION to do that.

The only thing I used meta for was to determine that SV would be hard to read for myself, and potentially a mislynch liability as town, and if he was town, he would almost definitely be alive at endgame.

There is NOTHING MORE USEFUL than an endgame cop innocent (except a guilty).

If he was scum, well then, he was scum and we could lynch him day 1 and it would be awesome. If he was town, like he was, then we get an endgame innocent, like we have, and it's actually worked out to be TWO endgame innocents (me + SV), and Fishy is confirmed town because of his votes.

Fishythefish is the only confirmed person here. "Vanilla townie" and "townsperson", in this context, are exactly the same thing. "Vanilla", by definition, means that a person does not have a power role, and if Shattered Viewpoint had one, he'd have claimed it by now. Therefore, I see what we claimed as equivalent. If Fishythefish is confirmed, I believe Shattered Viewpoint despite his wording not matching mine, and I know what I am, guess who that leaves?
