Why the fuck is Glork so hell-bent on placing the deciding vote on spectrumvoid?

A) I think Spectrumvoid is lying scum. This should be obvious by now.
B) If Spectrumvoid is a Kamikaze, I want to be the hammer. I have my own reasons for this. I'd rather not share those at this time.
C) If Spectrumvoid is telling the truth, we basically go to night without any harm done ot the town. We get the info we wanted (the middle of this wagon would be succulent and juicy and fully of scummy goodness), and we don't risk outing/lynching a power-role.

Basically, I'm echoing Thok's post. It's a very good play, actually. We either confirm a player D1 or we lynch scum. Why *NOT* go with the lynch?

I'm really, really concerned by Thok and raj's attitudes towards this lynch. I'm fairly certain at least one of them are scum, and my guess is that both are. Happy with my vote on raj.

We could've tested her claim WITHOUT her claiming her name. Lynching (or trying) her seems to be an okay move for today.

Got an inkling about Glork's role.

This is the only problem with this game: How are we supposed to know what each role is like in terms of personality in the movie, other than whoever has the role (and bluesoul, but he isn't saying anything until endgame) :|

Vote still stands. I'll be watching for others though.

If spectrum has a post restriction, SHE HAS BROKEN IT.
Therefore, she is scum.

Not necessarily. Reading through the thread again, I could could see ways in which she could have been true to her restriction. This is highly speculative of course, but her restriction (screaming angrily) could have been triggered by Quagmire voting for her. I don't know anything about her claimed role (Wikipedia didn't help either), but "Big Leroy" sounds just like the kind of guy who has a short temper.

As I said, highly speculative, but worth a thought.

This leads me to believe that spectrumvoid is not a good lynch right now, for the following reasons:
-She has claimed to be not only town, but also unlynchable.
-Some people are VERY trigger happy (Glork, Thok, PBuG)
-Almost all the discussion this day has been directed at her. Lynching her may not waste a lynch, but there is still some information to be gathered today
-most importantly: she may not be lying after all!

And finally, pushing for a lynch like that when a lot of people haven't even said anything meaningful just plain sucks.

You'll notice the use of the word "seems". I'll admit it's possible that the exact scenario you've mentioned has occured. (It's also possible you've just given her free cover to explain away a mistake.)

Moreover, there was a reason I mentioned the other 3 things on why spectrum was a good lynch for day 1.

I found a brief description of Big Leroy, on the website Snakes on a Blog; if anybody cares, I'll post a link to it. (It has some other descriptions of the characters.) If it isn't a fake roleclaim, then the character seems to be protown.

Does anybody else officially have a post restriction? (As opposed to just acting for the sake of acting?) This seems like the sort of game where either lots of people would have restrictions (and by lots I mean like 6), or nobody would have a restriction. (I think it's clear that I don't have a restriction.)
I replaced into Chess Mafia for 6 months, and all I got was a win and this lousy sig.

1) NORMALLY A QUICK-LYNCH ON D1 IS BAD FOR TOWN. (REFERENCE: NEWBIE #243). SO I'D BE SUSPICIOUS ABOUT ANYONE WHO'S PUSHING FOR A QUICK LYNCH ESPECIALLY SINCE SOME PEOPLE HAVEN'T EVEN SAID ANYTHING.

2) SERIOUSLY SPEAKING, IF YOU LYNCH SOMEONE ELSE WHO HASN'T CLAIMED, YOU'LL HAVE MORE INFO ON D2. FOR E.G.: IF YOU LYNCH MAFIA, YOU'LL BE ABLE TO CHECK AND SEE WHO WAS DEFENDING HIM.

3) ABOUT MY POST RESTRICTION: I POSTED BEFORE CHECKING MY PMS. I APOLOGISED TO THE MOD AND WASN'T MOD KILLED.

JUST TO CLARIFY: I'M NOT BEING DEFENSIVE OR ANYTHING, IT'S STILL FINE IF YOU LYNCH ME TO CONFIRM THAT I'M UNLYNCHABLE.

I don't get it. We have a no-lose proposition in lynching a claimed unlynchable.

Normally, the day 1 lynch results in the death of a townie, whereas if we lynch spectrumvoid, that can't happen. Plus, we'll gain information. I don't see the problem here. Why aren't we lynching him?

I have no idea why we would lynch spectrum today. I found what she said to be believable, and if we have a believable pro-town claim, I see know reason to force that lynch. I find anyone who is still fighting for the lynch to be scummy. I also find the people who so readily voted and then readily unvoted to be scummy too, so I guess I just think the whole thing is scummy. Obviously there were protown on the bandwagon, so I guess it was just a typical Day 1 wagon.

So far I have no reason to unvote so I'll just keep my vote where it is.

I could see the pros and cons of a spectrum "lynch". It would either confirm her as town (I don't see the unlynchable role as scum, but maybe I'm wrong. If there's precident for unlynchable scum, let me know), or we'd net ourselves scum. /shrug
