bertrand seems to not defend himself
If not, we should put him on the shelf
He has not tried to explain his vote
He should claim, or we throw him in the moat
I want us to win just for Yos' inevitable rant alone. -CrashTextDummie

I dun like hammering unless everyone's okay with it, am I the only one who notices that bertrand's post restriction seems to keep changing? I don't see underlining, is it just my computer? I kept seeing posting-with-dashes-like-this but now he's PostingWithAllCapsAndNoSpaces. @ thedocs: Post restrictions with a limited number of posts is very common in games that have a post restriction.

W-well, we already have a d-dead doctor, so I d-don't know how that affects b-bertrand's um...uh...c-claim in t-terms of l-likelihood. While I've s-seen a role like th-that before, I d-don't think it's very useful, even if it is t-true. b-bertrand would w-want to use th-the d-doc part on a p-player he b-believes to be p-pro-town, while h-he would w-want to use the k-kill p-part on a p-player he b-believes to b-be anti-town.

COMMANDER BERTRAND, YOU ARE A TRAITOR TO THE FINE PEOPLE OF THIS COUNTY. NOT LYNCHING YOU NOW WOULD BE A CRIME TO THE STATE.

So you have a role that allows you to kill? But if you allow the town to target your ability for you, then there's also the chance that that person won't actually die?

THROW HIM IN THE CHOKEY!

Remember that in this game we have trackable MO's, so if a kill was missing, we'd know about it. That alleged 50% chance of no-kill allows him to actively kill others, whilst expaining the fact that his target never comes up dead come morning.

YOU CLAIM THE ABILITY TO KILL OTHER MEN! THAT'S THE ARMIES JOB! YOU FALSE MEDICS, COMING IN AND TAKING JOBS FROM SELF-RESPECTING ARMY MEN, IT'S DISGRACEFUL! JUST DISGRACEFUL!

What I see here is something interesting. If he's telling the truth, plus this role is truly pro-town, it should be played as a 50% vig. So why did he emphasize the Doctor part of it? I think that was to scare us off lynching you.

I see no reason for Bertrands continued existence in this game. Suffering him to live now would easily be a court-martiable offence.

That's the end of good 'ol Bertrand.

Scratch that. More like bad 'ol Bertrand, because a quick search of his home tells that Bertrand is in fact an alias for
Evil Steve
, who did not hold the town's best interests at heart.

Bertrand (Evil Steve/Mafia Godfather) Lynched Day 4

12 alive, and we move into Night 5! Choices due by the 31st, please.

The town finds
stikey
lying dead in the gutter. He was drawn and quartered, but that actually turned out to be good as he was
Pyromaniac Paul
a goon for the mafia.

At the dock was a curious occurance.
armlx
awoke to find his feet in a cement block.
Tamuz
reached out and shoved him in the water. As he watched from the pier he saw armlx's last move: he took the gun from his pocket and blew Tamuz's head clear off.

Then, a message was found posted to a signboard:

Dear Town,

I am quite sure of
PBuG
's innocence. He's a pretty nice guy, and I'm sure if you end up lynching him, we'll hear back that he was good or something. So don't do that. OK?

- Mystery Person

The town agrees not to lynch PBuG.

Wait, something is still out of place.
thedocsalive
is nowhere to be found, but you all can't find his body anywhere. And in accordance with city regulations, a search warrant cannot be obtained until the person is confirmed dead.

Everyone then agrees, this has to be the best night they've had in some time.

SUMMARY:

stikey (Pyromaniac Paul/Mafia Goon) Drawn & Quartered Night 5
Tamuz (Drownin' Dave/Mafia Goon) Revenge'd Night 5
armlx (Vendetta Guy/Retalitory Vig) Drowned Night 5
thedocsalive (Unknown/Unknown) Disappeared Night 5
PBuG cannot be lynched today

Unless we're really unlucky, I reckon that's about the end for the mafia.

Who's up for a mass-claim in order to out the second duo-killer?

I will take the liberty to assume that we are free of the mafia, but that a duo killer is still at large, and that strange happenings are continuing to occur. If we would be able to call Mr. thedocsalive's dissappearance a strange happening.

Sir, I genuinely think, sir, that a mass claim at this point, sir, might be the best way to out the final killer, sir. Sir, I
may
be able to clear someone, sir, as none of the roles who have died, sir, really fit with someone who I think is likely to be in the game, sir, and someone who, if they are in the game, sir, was definitely still in the game last night, sir, although that person could be TDA, sir. I know this is all fairly general, sir, but my info's based more on speculation than cold fact, sir, although the speculation is based on info that is unique to my role, sir, if you get me sir.

There's eight of us left, nearly a whole battallion. Colonel Der Hammer is likely cleared, as on night 2 he chose as his target someone who was killed by the duo killers, plus his role doesn't really fit. Sergeant ChannelDelibird is cleared by virtue of mason-hood. I also have a very hard time imagining Sir Oberon as a Duo-killer, simply becuase the traitorous TheManHimself copied his restriction on day one, and I don't know if even a treachorous dog like TMH would be that eager to draw such easily tracable lines between the two of them.

This leaves us with, not including me,

6. Yosarian2
18. ubertimmy
21. riktus
25. PBuG

So, one scum left...Who's up for mass claim?

Not sure what good mass claim will do
My role very flavor limited is true
However, I guess it might give us information
Which I suppose might help the situation
