Sorry, sorry, you're right..There has been a night. Since I didn't have a night choice and the last few days have been incredibly stressful for me, I've been getting rather flustered of late. I know this doesn't look that good, and I apologize, but I really have nothing else that I can say on the matter.

Erm... AndrewS the point isn't about you missing the post. I think the wagon is on you not because you're inattentive, but because of possible misrepresentation.

I do not think AndrewS is scummy because of that, it's probably an innocent mistake. Reason being I'm a pretty active poster, he couldn't have tried to malign me since it was so easy for me to point it out.

It's the people on the AndrewS wagon who worry me.

vote: IH

(I'm giving BM some leeway here and I know it, but IH's an experienced player.)

err... werent YOU on the AndrewS wagon?
Andrews still strikes me as a Mafia cornered, and until anyone else acts more scummy, my vote stands.

SV: That post is full of hypocrisy.

Good thing hypocrisy isn't a scum tell though.

Yes it's just me failing my quote on BM, it's not my vote. Mod noticed this in the votecount.

I agree with Battle Mage, if ShadowLurker has found such a strong town tell in AndrewS's posts I'd like to know what it was.

AndrewS, I wish you hadn't thought it necessary to claim... the more people that do this, the easier it becomes for scum to pick out the cop. I don't think claiming townie is likely to deter voters anyway, and you got your unvotes for your other arguments.

I agree that it doesn't do a whole lot to deter - but, having seen several games hammered seemingly randomly within a few hours, I decided that a claim sooner rather than after the lynch would be appropriate.

SL went from harshly criticizing AndrewS to claiming he was town in about five posts. This one post by AndrewS was in between:
AndrewS wrote:Well, quite frankly, I think that this whole bandwagon is rather silly, having been started over single missed post. Of the votes that are on me: 2 are due to the missed post, one is due to me being found "skulking in the shadows"(and if he's trying to claim cop without having a cop, we've not had night yet), and finally we've got Battle Mage accusing me of bad logic for voting for Akbar due to his bad logic. Lynch me if you want, but I'm town.
Unless you think that him claiming vanilla townie is really a "strong town tell," I don't see what would lead you to completely write him off.

Alright, I've reread my posts several times. I cannot identify this tell. If it was something that was easily identifiable, every mafia would use it and it would no longer be a town tell. I appreciate your vote of confidence...But I can't identify what this tell is.

Well for example, if someone genuinely voted a person that was killed last night because he/she thought the dead person was lurking, would you think they were scum?

That's fair. I don't exactly play... well, intelligently. :) Anyway, I was trying to say that unless SL was silly enough to take "I claim vanilla townie" as a protown tell, I didn't see where the strong tell was.

Question for TCS.
Earlier BM jumped on Lowell and stated this:

because Lowell seems happy to go for Masterchief, i can assume he is not Mafia.
Therefore i change my vote to Lowell, in an attempt to save a citizen.
------------
Shortly after you say:

Damn it, it's only page one and already Twito's convinced me that he's town.

(which seems surprisingly quick to me)

And then you say:

unvote my brother in alcohol abuse, vote:Battle Mage for the badlogic. I would think, occasionally, that Lowell votes for scum.

Not only are you jumping to Lowell's defense, someone your not supposed to know. But, by saying Lowell occasionally votes for scum, means he's normally voting against townies. How would you know if Lowell was voting correctly or not?
-----------
Ps. sorry about the sloppy quoting, I'm still trying to learn the system.

No, it's not hypocrisy. I voted AndrewS because of a possible scum-tell (misrepresentation), and to see his reaction. The people on the wagon hopped on really quickly.

Ditto to all questions.

"Twito's convinced me that he is town" was mostly a joke. My original vote for Twito was a random vote to start the game, and my vote on Battle Mage was because his logic for voting Lowell was faulty. "X votes for Y, I'm convinced Y is town, therefore X is scum" is bad logic. Furthermore, I'm (still) not sure how BM could be certain of MC's innocence when at that point he hadn't even posted yet.

Wow. This game could not be more WIFOM-tastic.

I'm sold on Akbar, Andrew, and SL all being pro-town. Akbar because he seems too genuinely confused to fake. Andrew, likewise. I think his "no night" response was genuine and not a deliberate setup to make him look innocent (that would seem to me to be needlessly complicated and potentially dangerous for scum... so he's a vanilla townie). SL just for his general behavior.

In all honesty, I don't remember why I voted for SV, but just so the message is clear I will
unvote, REvote SV
. I don't like the tone or timing of her posts, particularly the ones that seem to be sucking up to the newbie players. Yes, yes, I've been wrong about her before, and it's possible that she's just playing nice because she
IS
nice, but I'm sticking with the vote for now.
