Well I'm going to need all the inspiration I can get for this challenge. If you knew me then you would never associate me with fashion. But I always love a new challenge!

The lost fashion

"There was nothing in the world
That I ever wanted more
Than to feel you deep in my heart"

TS lay on his bed and sighed. Not a particularly sorrowful sigh, nor a passive sigh either, but the sigh most befitting of a lonely Thursday. Just another day in the week to keep things apart. Maybe Wednesday and Friday never could stand each other. Perhaps Tuesday had manic depression, Sunday was always broke and Saturday never had time for his wife and kids. Even Monday was despised.
And it felt like the world sighed with him. Moving lips to breathe his name one last time. It was fading away now. The more he said it the more it lost meaning. Soon nothing but a dream that faded in the night.
Or a poem he meant to write

Pictures lay scattered on the flaw. The memories peeling from them as the thoughts pirouetted through his mind. Remembering the ones he was close to. Standing quiet in the rain. Running soft through the night. Whiter than snow in a time darker than the morning as it slipped away. Danced from his hands, leaving them as bare as his thoughts.
It rained.

"
If only I'd thought of the right words... We wouldn't be breaking apart
."

But there were no words anymore.
There was no wrong or right

Only silence. Silence to be enjoyed and all else to be forgotten. Notes that fell like the glassy beads from his eyes. Fell and never stopped falling. Always falling further away. Further from the ones he adored and the ones he wished he could change things for. Wish would speak to him far more than any stillness. In the silence far louder to his ears than any noise. Noise... the word had no meaning to him. No word did. No word ever expressed as a hollow noise could ever touch him like the words which never formed in his mouth. The words he wished he'd have said at the time to the ones he loved. Twisting in the past and torn apart by dissolved love.

But that word meant nothing either.

There was only one word that ever echoed to him now. As though it was all he ever could hear. His name spinning into the crystals that shattered with every blink. Lost in the cold. Crying for the death of his heart.

And he heard it one last time as it drowned his every edge. Faded his shape. Made him let go of it all.

Sorry I just love making people second guess :) Let's put this fashion show back in tune!

Now I don't know much about fashion personally judges, but what I do like to think I can talk about is being inventive. Why look the same as everyone else this summer? Another face down at the beach. Another grain of sand in the shoreline. Slowly having your individuality eroded by the waves. Is this the future of summertime fashion?

Looks like this range of clothing just got arrested for being too fashionable. Now let's examine the evidence.

Spoiler: Article 1
Image

The shirt. Who doesn't love abstract shirts! And this one is made using the 'batik' manual wax-resist dyeing technique of the ancient Javanese. Made just for summer. If the sun himself could don a shirt and walk among us, this is what he'd choose. Sun digs batik, and we dig this shirt.

Spoiler: Article 2
Image

The sandal. Not just a footwear. But the symbol of a generation. The 'sandal generation.'
Long has this humble footwear been oppressed by scorched feet and taunted by shoes. Ridiculed by socks and forgotten in the sands of time (and the beach!)

But not any longer. Summertime sandals are back. Join the sandal revolution. Perfectly suited to summertime strolls and hipster attire. Also, for this summer only, buy two sandals and get a third free!

Spoiler: Article 3
Well really at this point there is no more evidence. No more "style dictatorship." The fashion police have gone to collect their "donuts of grooviness", leaving you to pick up the pieces.

Really the rest can be whatever you like. It's your summer so be yourself! Individuality is certainly in-season so don't let anyone tell you otherwise. They're soooooo 2009 :P

The most sexy thing in the world is to be smart and thoughtful. And no flip-flops or bracelets could ever show that.

And most importantly, don't ever let the search itself get in the way of what you're looking for in life. If you know what you're seeking then it will always find you in the end, no matter how long it will take.
Don't let planning ruin your plans
Don't let the search hide what you seek
And don't ever lose sight of what only you can see. It is better to be blind than to not think for yourself. For when we are ourseleves we never can be blind. We never can be "unfashionable" or as disposable as the seasons themselves.

Summer will pass.
The leaves fall from the tree
And before you can discover
You must learn how to see

Men across the country, have we got a deal for you! Coming to clothing stores internationally this summer is the newest fashion trend that's making all the girls (and boys!) go crazy! Drumroll please!

Spoiler:
Image

That's right, you've been waiting your whole life for it, and it's finally here! A CCC! What's that, you ask? You've never wanted one? Well that's about to change, because this is the best new fashion trend since loincloths! A CCC is an
authentic
CuddlyCaucasianCostume. It comes complete with a Mickey Mouse wizard hat in case you run into evil witches at the clubs this summer and need to use magic to scare them off! Have you ever wondered what would happen if you were relaxing on the beach, and suddenly a Wailord washed up onto the shore? That would ruin
all
of your summer fun! But with the CCC, you can have no fear, as this costume comes complete with a fully functional Poké Ball! Last but not least, ever wanted to look sexy in the sun
while
showing your love for Spiderman? Well now you finally can, with the Spiderman sunglasses included in the CCC! Who doesn't love Spiderman? People who are entitled to their own opinion, that's who! But when you're looking this sexy, everyone's opinion when they see you will just be "DAMN BOI!" Buy one now while they last, but make sure to get one before they run out, they're literally flying* off the shelves!

*Note: CuddlyCaucasianCostume does not endorse or enhance human ability to fly

This is a really disappointing turnout, guys. Half an hour to go.

@ Judges

Unless one of Candillan, Cephrir, or JDGA turns in a submission on time, you don't need to judge animorpherv1's entry.

Unless Snakes turns in a submission, you will simply have to judge whichever one of TS's/Cuddlycaucasian's entries you feel adheres to the challenge criteria better. (The criteria can be found on )

Thank you!

@Shii/Chevre:
Is it possible to put a 24 hour time limit on the judging? I know it SHOULDN'T take that long, but people like to procrastinate.

Congratulations to animorpherv1 for winning
Individual Immunity
in the Female Heat! Let's see who he'll be sharing with...

In the Male Heat, between TS and CuddlyCaucasian, the judges voted:

Spoiler: Bowser
Bowser wrote:obviously
ani
wins his category by default which is a boring win.

CC
wins this one one account of him actually modeling his submission.
TS
gets props for the fact that his was detailed, but the outfits he picked were too mainstream and that is a major letdown.
1
point to
CuddlyCaucasian
! Can
TS
tie it up?

Spoiler: Blackberry
Blackberry wrote:FML

Can I declare them both insufficient? ... lol

Visually appealing: (
TS
) No: 0 points, (
CC
) No: 0 points
- I wouldn't wear any of these, sorry. Although I do love V-necks, the hat and pokeball and bracelets are too much...
Summer Theme: (
TS
) ehh: 3 points, (
CC
) No: 1 point
- Both of these fall very flat on summer theme.
TS
gets maybe 2 points more than
CC
for staying with the theme of "Grandpa's Summer".
Innovative: (
TS
) No: 3 points total, (
CC
) Yes: 6 points total
- I can't say TS's thought outside the box... I guess I could say
CC's
was though?

...

I suppose I'll give the win to
CC
? :? But I prefer the "No winner" option... lol.
No!
2
points for

Welcome to
Tribal Council 8
! For anyone who isn't paying attention, there are nine of you left. Yes, that's right, tonight's elimination will become our first
juror
! The jury of the next seven people eliminated will have to make the most important decision of all, so make sure to keep this in mind from here on out.
  • For accepting Task 8,
    Candillan
kloud1516 and Marquis have lost their votes at this Tribal Council.
  • For accepting Task 9,
    Candillan
kloud1516 and Marquis will have one vote already against each of them at this Tribal Council.
If there are any mistakes with above
I'm in a rush
please feel free to point them out, otherwise...

You have
24 hours
to submit your votes!
