1: This poem certainly invokes images and feelings of a specific memory, so well done. It also doesn't twist itself to fit the theme.

2: Acrostics are lazy poems that you have to twist to fit words. Icky yucky ew ew

3: An interesting poem. one that fits the theme while also not fitting the theme. Yes that makes no sense I'M A JUDGE DEAL

4: While a good poem, a rather...plebian one. Not bad, but not good.
How did Kamek rank the submissions, then?

Our final judge,
Blackberry
!
Judge III, Blackberry wrote:First off, I haven't looked at the thread in awhile, so I can safely so it will be 100% unbiased! Unless there is such a thing as bias towards creativity and great work. In which case, I'm incredibly bias[ed].

Spoiler: Rank: 4th
The Memory of Summer

Regrettably, I found this piece very bland and unoriginal. The good news is you stuck with the theme of summer - which I can't say for all the pieces. Overall, this piece didn't move me at all and for that reason I had to rank you the lowest. This challenge just wasn't for you.

PS: GOOD LUCK AS TC, YOU'LL NEED IT!

Spoiler: Rank: 3rd
Tears and smoke in the summer

I thought this piece was very creative and moving. Unfortunately, the poem was supposed to be about summer, and I strongly feel this piece was about loss/love and the word summer just happened to be thrown in there. I also feel that the incorrect grammar in the first sentence of the poem does not help the piece. I would advise polishing your piece before submitting so that it looks like it flows together. Although I didn't rank you in the top half, I did enjoy this piece.

PS: GOOD LUCK AS TC, YOU'LL NEED IT!

Spoiler: Rank: 2nd
Kill Your Friends, Make No Amends

I felt the presentation of this piece was very innovative. I easily understood that the piece had to do with your personal summer playing the game of Survivor (and your internal conflict with the game). And although I like this piece, I do not feel that the poem related enough to summer theme. Great job on your poem though!

PS: GOOD LUCK AS TC, YOU'LL NEED IT!

Spoiler: Rank: 1st
Footprints on a Beach

Congrats, you've won the best prize of all: my respect! ^_^ I felt this poem was very creative and innovative! :-D It definitely had to do with the theme of summer/beach while putting your own twist on it. I felt the overall piece was great and moved me. *thumbs up*
What does that mean for the four castaways, then?

Spoiler: Tally
Footprints on a Beach - 10 pts
Kill Your Friends, Make No Amends - 8 pts
Tears and Smoke in the Summer - 6 pt
(+1)

The Memory of Summer - 6 pts

It's decided!

3: Hmmm....I think this could use a few more lines.
Funny you mention that, it initially had another stanza- the first was broken into an introductory stanza and the child-and-dog example- but it was too long! It's too bad, because the buildup to the old woman stanza (when you're supposed to figure out what I'm actually saying) was better that way.

Also, thanks judges! I'm glad you liked it. ^.^

Alternatively, you could not do the bullshit finale time-filler which serves no function online other than to suck the Jury's dicks before FTC.

Will the challenge be something I can do on my phone? My internet might be down.

I also like torchwalks.
