But it's fun,PlaysWithSquirrels wrote:This is getting kind of ridiculous. Staying in character is one thing, but it's getting in the way of us catching scum.citizen. Anyway, our progress so far seems roughly parallel to every other day one I've ever seen. I suggest you do some analysis or something if you want us to move on.
Diamonhawk- player character!= player in this game, surely. The source material is pretty clear that mutants are a threat to Friend Computer and so I assumed they were the bad guys.-

The source material is very clear that only registered mutants are not threats to Friend Computer. Every other mutant is considered a traitor and is terminated.
That is why I said what I said.
Anyway, I'm happy with my PWS vote. At least until he posts some content.BELLADONNA, n.
In Italian a beautiful lady; in English a deadly poison. A striking example of the essential identity of the two tongues.-

Source one wrote:
Unfortunately, just about anything is treasonous in Alpha Complex. Failure to be happy is treasonous. Being a Commie is treasonous. Being a mutant is treasonous
Source two wrote:
The Computer fears a number of threats to its 'perfect' society, such as The Outdoors, mutants, and secret societies (especially communists).
Source three wrote:
Althoughmutations are treasonous, The Computer has been known to overlook mutations if they are reported quickly. From time to time you may see a citizen with a yellow stripe on their uniform. This means they are a Registered Mutant and they have already confessed their mutation to The Computer.
It's clear mutants are bad, unless they are registered.-

I'm BACK!!!!
Second:
No, I'm not "desperate to find a reason to vote" anyone... I'm just DESPERATE to FINDM4yhem wrote:Also, Barroman seems desperate to find a reason to vote for someone.Fos:Barroman- do your own work! Laziness is commie!YOURreasons for your votes...
So, you have given me a PERFECT reason to vote...Unvote: CES. Vote: M4yhem.
Why? Because I don't like his attitude from the begining of the game. Some people say, that diferences are a reason to divide... but look at the rainbow.

stark- Those quotes are direct from backreading.
Coron- It clearly says, right there in what I quoted, that the computer fears mutants because they are a threat to our perfect society.
But I think this is becaoming a distraction from finding scum.
Barroman- Just because I find you suspicious is not a good reason to vote for me. Actually, it's a pretty bad reason. As for my attitude, what's wrong with it?
I'm going tounvote, Vote:DahenI thought he was making a little too much out of Mojo's questions. What Mojo asked was dumb, imo, but not scummy. I feel that Dahen is trying to mastermind the lynching of a loyal citizen.-

I don't vote you for just finding me suspicius...
I vote you because from the begining of the game you have acused 4 o 5 of us, and you vote someone who you hasn't acused to.
I find that very strange and sorry me if I don't understand your vote and your behaviour. Some people say, that diferences are a reason to divide... but look at the rainbow.

Coron- Yes. Welcome to Alpha Complex.
Barroman (I'm sorry, I don't know how to type an accented a)-
I accuse lots of people because I believe that's the best way to get the game moving. If you accuse people, their reactions can tell you lots of things. There are not really any proper reasons around at this stage of the game and so we have to make them.
I have explain why I'm voting for Dahen; what don't you understand?-

I understand perfectly the reasons... but what I don't understand... is why you vote him, and don't have voted any of the others you have acused for similar reasons...
P.S. Don't worry about de accent, is from an spanish keyboard. You have three options, copy-paste my name, changing your keyboard to a spanish one, or just type Barroman. But if you read it on voice, you must do a phonetic accent over de 'a'.Some people say, that diferences are a reason to divide... but look at the rainbow.

I can actually see a situation where everybody are in secret societies. Not all the societies are a threat, but being in one is treacherous, there's a difference.M4yhem wrote: Player characters can't be the same as players in this game then because if everybody was in a secret society, we'd all be traitors and the town would have no way of winning.
We desperately need more participation in this game.BELLADONNA, n.

@ M4yhem - Well, there might be some bastard modding. The game's title is Paranoia.
@ Mojo - Or, there could be the majority of people in secret societies, and a few paranoid people who are out of the loop.
Even in a game of Paranoia, the troubleshooters (and the mutants and the secret society member players as well) are on the side of the Computer. Remember, we only need to brainscrub people who want the downfall of Friend Computer. Just because you're technically treasonous for being in a secret society doesn't mean that all the members have to die for us to win; in this game we can probably focus less on treason and more on who's mafia (probably the Communists?)-

Says the guy whose participation is keeping a meaningless vote on PWS and speculating on mechanics. Participation and contribution are not the same thing.Mojo wrote:We desperately need more participation in this game.
Am I the only one who thinks that killing scum should be of a higher priority than helping them figure out how the set-up works? If there's anything more important than my ego around, I want it caught and shot now.-

I don't see anything wrong with voting for a player that didn't post any content in this game, and didn't post anything in the four days.Sarcastro wrote:Says the guy whose participation is keeping a meaningless vote on PWS and speculating on mechanics. But at this point, I think that you are right because my vote won't get him to post. I just think we might need to prod him or replace him as he hasn't posted in 4 days.
Mission Leader:Can you request a prod on PWS?
In this kind of game, I think it's important to establish who are the actual scum, don't you think?
I don't know if that's what you meant with your 'speculating on game mechanics' comment, but that's what I'm trying to do.
I don't like this comment because it's totally ridiculous. I see it as an obvious attempt to distract us from the real threats and as a way to get pro town players lynched.Stark wrote:It is most obvious that the pro-computer agents are mafia
There's also post 98 that looks really off IMO, and I thought about changing my vote back then because of it.
