Sorry for putting this off so long guys, but I thought we needed more info.

Ripley is innocent
Therefore Pat is innocent
Therefore Fonz (Twito) is scum

A big reason I held off this long is because of the chances that twitos partner and not him is the role blocker. If that's the case then I'll likely be dead tommorrow, and you guys will have to use your best judgement between CDB and Skruffs.

If Twito/Fonz is the role blocker though, the doc can protect me tonight, and I investigate CDB or Skruffs and we come back next morning and win the game.

I don't know which, yet. I can see either. If nightfall has a result on anyone OTHER than CDB, this game is in the bag, I think. I'm going to wait on that, before I start getting past speculation. In the game I played with twito in, where he was town, he baited scum and such and used little traps to try and figure out who was scum - but he didn't do that much this game. HE goofed around - a lot - with fircoal, and i don't think anyone liked it much. I got him lynched in our newbie game together (As scum) for the same antics. it's worth going back over, but i don't think it's feasible to base a lynchon that OR on what i saw about ripley and you.

I do notice that you seem to believe ripley's claim more than twito's. Aren't you worried what will happen if fnightfall has a guilty on ripley?

Skruffs/Ripley requires me to believe that all their arguments are staged, and that scum no killed on night 1 for some reason.

Surely we

know

that scum tried to nightkill? Skruffs pointed this out in post 343, following the mod's announcement that he would not go to night in the event of a wrong lynch today:

The only way that the scum will know with 100% accuracy that they will block or kill the doctor is if they targetted two people last night.
If they had targetted the same person with both actions (which doesn't even really make sense) than there would be three people left 'unchecked' and they could max have a 66% cvhance of blocking or killing the doctor.

Since we know that the scum definitely know that the doctor is one of two people, we know that they definitely targetted two people last night.

Incidentally, this is the reason for my change of stance regarding the possiblity of a no-kill (listed by The Fonz as one of his reasons to suspect me). I was really concerned about it at the start of the day. Being prone to paranoia, my initial reaction of "Yay, I got it right" was very quickly replaced by "Or maybe that's what they

want

me to think..." It seemed possible that scum, especially if they thought one of themselves to be a likely protection target, might no kill. We'd still be close to lylo (only a successful doc save night 2 would save us if we lynched wrong Day 2).

But Skruffs' logic quoted above seemed impeccable, so at that point I dropped the idea altogether and viewed Patrick as cleared.

Ha. I was going to do my long rebuttal to The Fonz, then Nightfall came out with his result. I knew it. So Fonz is scum, Ripley is the doc. Let's hope Fonz is the scum roleblocker, though I have a slight feeling scum wouldn't have committed their roleblocker to a doc claim.

If he's the goon then we have to choose between Skruffs and CDB. My feeling is Skruffs is his partner, especially from some of their recent postings.

That's part of why I thought setting you up could work, because it obviously meant Twito thought you were likely a powerrole, hence someone who would have been worth protecting f he'd been town. Basically, I had to gamble everything on tying myself to you. If, as happened, the cop investigated me or Ripley, the game's up before it even begins. If he's targetted CDB, then having you onside and pushing the Patrick/Ripley scumpair leaves NightFall with a really hard decision day three. If he checks you out, I think likely Scum wins, and if he checks out Patrick, likely I lose because, and I still can't see why entirely, Patrick and Ripley seemed to trust one another implicitly.

I'd agree, it makes no sense for the roleblocker and not the Goon to claim powerrole, but hey, that's what they did.

Explain this. You've just claimed to be scum with CDB. In which case you know a cop investigation on him would come up guilty. Yet you're saying that if CDB was checked by the cop, you'd be pushing a Patrick/Ripley scumpair, which doesn't make any sense.

With me and Skruffs pressing Patrick/Ripley, and you and Ripley pressing me/Skruffs, then I think it would have been likely those alignments stuck- after all, Skruffs seemed rather disinclined to believe Ripley, whilst you seemed confident in his honesty.
