As far as you voting me is concerned, not very much. The reason is empty, and I don't think you can justify your vote. DP voted me on gut feeling. I have nothing against people using gut feeling. Hell, I use it from time to time. But for you to vote me because of DP, it requires you to have the similar gut feeling as DP. But then if you had that, why would you say you voted me because of DP, why not just say "it was gut-feeling". Maybe you two are secretly married and you trust each other's opinions implicitly, but I find that unlikely.spectrumvoid wrote:Any response. So what do you think of me voting you because of DP?
But I guess that's not an answer you wanted to hear. What you deliberately missed out on saying in that question yet making it painstakingly obvious (may that be because you are a she or it's a sign of good play I don't know) is "What do I think on a gunsmith leveling an accusation against me?" Well go figure. That's almost a loaded question, isn't it? I feel uneasy because people might find this alternative theory convincing, and might lynch me if left with no other choice. So I'll probably need to de-bunk this to keep me alive, but oh look, it's gut feeling. Luckily DP left me few things to work on.
1. This is on D1. This was not a Night start.
Counter - Could there have been a cop head start?Modare you allowed to shed any light on this?
2. Reason for his gut feeling was he did not like one of my post.
These are the two reasons to debunk this theory. Objectively, if I was analyzing someone else from DP's vote pattern (let's see... how about you? SV?) then I would make DP's contribution as a side factor than my main accusation factor. He could have picked anyone on the list of 18 on N0, and I wouldn't get my hopes up on him picking out a scum on a cop head start (if there were any).
Also, having played with you in my first newbie game, I expected you to read through entire thread formed your opinions, and made a whoopin-big analysis rather than solely rely on DP's gut feeling. Also you made it clear you voted me just solely to gauge my reactions. Not exactly a fair experiment, I might add.Woof!-

Yeah Spectrum, that is a loaded question ^^
If it was on Day 1, then I don't think DP's accusation means all that much, though since I've not played here long I don't know how customary it is to give a cop a head start. Granted, even if that is the case, he may or may not have picked scum. Spectrum's vote isn't very justified, though, as Raffles pointed out, it seems to be just to gauge reaction.-

If anyone can remember and would be kind enough to fill us in on what happened in lost posts, it's be appriciated.
I think it's pretty clear that on day 1, DP couldn't have had any night info on Raffles. He even as much as said so:
I think he was specifially making clear here that his vote against Raffles was not a bredcrumb.Dragon Phenox wrote:At the moment, Raffles is my prime choice, yes. I have no more info than what I posted. I did not like his post. It's called gut feeling - and you can hardly expect more this early in the game.
If Dragon Phenox did get any information, it would have been the night after that, and if he wanted to breadcrumb it, he would have done so pretty early on day 2. And that's not likely; in his first post, he FOS'd toaster strudal; he then lurked for a while and then voted TS, and we now know TS was a townie. And those are the only posts he made day 2, so I tend to think that DP either didn't find a gun or else he chose not breadcrumb his results.I want us to win just for Yos' inevitable rant alone. -CrashTextDummie-

Third Vote Count of Day Three:
Rand Althor - 2 (Raffles, Panzerjager)
AlexPaoletti - 1 (Yosarian2)
Raffles - 1 (spectrumvoid)
Not voting - 7 (Cubsfan4ever, scotmany12, Rand Althor, Ancalagon, AlexPaoletti, hollywoody1221, ~N9V~)
With eleven alive, six votes will lynch.Everyone is accounted for after the downtime and yet discussion is at a standstill. Therefore you now have aretractable deadline for the end of April 30th. At deadline, a bare minimum of three votes will be required to lynch, butonly if that is at least 50% of the cast votes at that time. For instance, if someone had 4 votes, but 5 other votes were scattered about, No Lynch would occur. If someone has 3 votes and only 2 or 3 other votes are cast at deadline, that person would be deadline lynched.
I will always update you if someone is in danger of a deadline lynch (currently, no one is). In addition, you may of course still lynch someone before the 30th by acquiring the usual number of votes, 6. I will prod those who are around but not posting.-

I'm satisfied with Raffles response.unvote
Yes, I did make it clear that it was purely to see Raffles's reactions. I've played with Raffles before, and I have a rough idea of how he plays. If Raffles was scum, wifoming slightly, I read Raffles as someone more likely to start defending himself. Raffles mentioning that it was a day start is another point in his favour.Blank.-

Well, if there's a deadline comig up, I've got no problem with avote:rand althor. He hasn't done much all game, and I'd rather see him lynched then a no-lynch today. THat puts him at 3 votes, which means he'll now be lynched at deadline unless something changes.I want us to win just for Yos' inevitable rant alone. -CrashTextDummie-

Jalyn's list don't give us much to go on.
Kinkster (town)- KIA
DP (gunsmith)- KIA
hollywoody - I think I remember he was hounded by TS (Townie).
Raffles - well... it's me. I would say I'm town but I don't think that'd get me far.
The fact that only one he defended was a townie, and other he raised suspicion was also a townie, I don't think it would give us any indication of who scum is, just by looking at her posts.Woof!-

Fourth Vote Count of Day Three:
Rand Althor - 3 (Raffles, Panzerjager, Yosarian2)
Not voting - 8 (Cubsfan4ever, scotmany12, Rand Althor, Ancalagon, AlexPaoletti, hollywoody1221, ~N9V~, spectrumvoid)
With eleven alive, six votes will lynch.Rand al'Thor could be lynched at deadline currently; all non-posters have been prodded. If anyone needs to be replaced, I will extend the deadline. An actual uptick in posting would also help your cause; as I said, this is retractable, but only with apparent movement.Last edited by Mr. Flay on Fri Apr 27, 2007 5:22 am, edited 1 time in total.-

Mod: Could you extend deadline until at least some of those have responded meaningfully to the prod? So far, only Yos, Alex, and I made any meaningful contribution this day. It feels like playing C9 with just two people.
@Alex: Why would having lurkers cloud your thoughts? If there are less activity, much less scummy ones, you've got all the freedom to analyze the past at your leisure. Also, why did this cause you to unvote?Woof!-

I don't think raffles is scum. If dp was that suspicious of raffles, I would guess that he would investigate him on night 1. If that is what happened, then raffles would be innocent because dp was not pushing for a raffles lynch. This makes me think that raffles is town.
Secondly, I'm not ready to lynch Rand purely on his lurkiness. I say we leave him at what he is now, and if we can't get anything else going, then he will be our deadline lynch.
