I have prodded a whole bunch of players. For those who don't respond, I'm considering modkills, in light of the great difficulty in finding replacements for this game. I do think that modkills like this are generally not something a mod wants to be doing, but clearly a game can't proceed very well with several pieces of deadwood so to speak. Note that any modkills that may happen don't take into account alignment. Feel free to give opinions on whether this is a good idea or not.

I really think this is a bad idea. I just don't like the idea of modkills - regardless of alignment - maybe you could place certain people on 'inactive stastus' that don't count towards the lynch total or something? Just grey out their n ames on page one until someone decides to replace in for them? THat way if a regular townie gets killed they can replace back into the game. I think this game has a lot of potential, and I think the people who ARE Playign in it more than make up for the bad, idle, lurky players.
If You are going to modkill, do it one at a time, maybe once a week, starting with the most distantly inactive first - pre-crash inactive, for example.

We can do our part by recklessly voting anyone who's not posted in the last two weeks or so. If they get lynched, oh well. (Unless someone active is supahscumzors)

I agree with what Skruffs suggested. I would say for the time being make them inactive. If it really becomes a major problem, then we can start considering Modkills.

As for MOD kills, I don't like the idea much, but it may become necessary to some extent. If at all, I'd go about it the way Skruffs suggested, as opposed to the idiotic Lalmtreereserwtwhatever method

my stance on Modkills has changed slightly since yesterday-in part due to the reaction i got. i think Skruffs idea of making them inactive is a far superior alternative (although obviously it would be better to have them replaced).
If you advertise a bit, im sure we can get the replacements needed! :)

Onto some stream-of-consciousness observations.

Sailor Jerry - only one passing mention. +10 scumpoints.
"Also, no need to vote Rand, if we don't have enough kills for his role to make sense then we can lynch him then. " 5 scumpoints.

He has an opinion on everyone else... 5 scumpoints.
"Battle Mage is not that scummy compared to ac1983fan" (+1 BattleMage, -1 ac1983)
"Maybe we can be friends scotmany. "

Goofball scumpoints:

Rand Althor 5+5+3+3 = 16
jah8127 (replacing Sailor Jerry who replaced Keys Myaths) 10+1 =11
BM 5+2 = 7
AlexP 3 = 3
LFBProd (replacing Wizardcat) 3 = 3
ac1983 3-1 = 2
StallingC 1 = 1
Scotmany 1+1 = 2
DGB/TJM 1 = 1
Twito -1 = -1
SV -2 = - 2
DP -3 = -3
Skruffs 2-5 = -3
MoS -5 = -5
Fircoal -5 = -5
Kison -5-1-1 = -7

Now, there may well be two mafias, in which case, the people he made look "townie" might actually be from the other scumgroup.

Lamesteak was working very hard to confuse us all. But I do believe that jah8127 and Rand Althor might be scum.

I have NOT read the game, nor the game as a whole. I might amend or change the above later.

hmm... a confusing, but nonetheless thought-provoking analysis.
I cant criticise your honesty-i doubt any mafioso in their right-mind would try and suggest that a dead criminologist is scum.
ROFL.
If you have time could you please explain your scale in a bit more detail. An explanation as to why you havent read the game thread in full would also be appreciated :)

Ooooooooops! Well... if my analysis was conducted like a scientific experiment, Rand would be my negative control, haha. Since I got a false positive for my negative control, it's fair to say my analysis is dodgy to say the least.

My scale is arbitary. I assign points to actions I consider scummy. The scummier, the higher on the scale. As you see, it runs from -5 to 5. The negative range denotes towniness, obviously.

I read only Lamesteak's posts. I will read the rest later.

im sorry to be of trouble, but its just for clarities sake. I dont mind saying that i disagree with many of your 'ratings', and thus it would be helpful to know where exactly they came from.
