Awesome, that means I can make my offer now.

@The Bulge:
I have already determined what questions to ask to identify the sapphire's holder with only 2 questions. My help is as follows; at any time tommorow (up until 09:00) you may send me a sapphire and I will immediately post the question you should ask. Since D3f3nd3r has already sent his question you don't need to worry about him benefiting from it.

I figure one sapphire is a fair price, since if you win you'll still have two more.

Unless I'm missing something, it's extremely easy to do this in two questions. The difficulty is in doing it in one.

It's easy...IF you're familiar with problems of this sort. My offer is in case he isn't and doesn't figure it out on his own. I wouldn't call it "extremely" easy though.

There is no way to do it definitively in one question, though. See, there are 3 places where the sapphire could be, and a single question can only differentiate between 2 options (represented by yes and no). You need a second question for the 3rd option.

I'll give you the answer for free, if you are willing to spare me in a Death Match should you be given the opportunity to. Up to you, I just hate to see you extorted out of things that have legit (conceptual) value in this game.

Think everyone should just play the game for themselves. This feels like it's ruining the point.

From an outside perspective, I understand playing to win and all, but players helping a player in what's supposed to be a one-on-one challenge is just undermining the rules, and most importantly the fun, of the game.

In the end, the only legitimate thing anyone has to gain from this game is their own enjoyment, and I don't know if cheating through loopholes makes y'all feel accomplished. If it does, I have nothing to say, but if you actually care about being in this game to feel like you deservedly won your way through it, I don't know why the whole "bribing with sapphires in exchange for winning the death match" is even a thought.

Players in this particular Death Match can't trade Sapphires. I took them away already. They can promise to give you things, but nothing is binding.

Also, a reminder to those watching, I have a special private spectator room where you can heckle the players if you want to join.

I will now reveal the results of the Death Match.

Jonah, you have determined that the Sapphire lies with Ami. Stacie, you have determined that the Sapphire lies with Kimmi. One of you is correct, and will continue on in this game. The other will be asked to leave the Villa as the first player eliminated.

I can now reveal that the Sapphire lies in the pocket of...Ami. Jonah, you will continue on to Round 2 with 3 Sapphires. Congratulations!

Stacie, I'm very sorry, but I'm going to ask you to turn your Sapphires over to Jonah and leave the Villa. You may join the other spectators in the Betting Room if you wish.

Everyone, get some rest. The next Free for All will be posted sometime later tonight.

Out of curiosity, can we see the sequences of questions the two players used?

I'm assuming Bulge saw that he could do it in two and asked two questions, but he was too afraid of me doing it in two questions to ask a third.

I asked three. First was to one of them asking something along the lines of "Does 2+2=4?" to confirm if they were lying or not. The person I asked spoke the truth, so I asked if Kimmi held it (got a no), then if Ami held it - I got a yes and submitted that.

Did the questions have to be yes/no?

Perfect play (assuming you want to take no risks and determine with 100% certainty where the sapphire is before guessing) is to ask a girl something along this line: 'if i asked you if you had the sapphire, would you answer yes?'
If she says yes, she has the sapphire, regardless of whether she's a liar or not. If she says no, ask another girl. If both girls have answered no, you know the third girl has the sapphire.

If you're like me and hate those awkward self-referencing questions, this one also works: "If I asked Yumi whether you have the sapphire and whether you always tell the truth, would she give the same answer to both questions?"

Personally, I prefer: "If I were to ask you whether only one of you or Kimmi is telling the truth, and to also ask you whether you or Ami has the sapphire, would the answers of both of those questions put together give me enough information to logical determine who has the sapphire, assuming Kimmi is in fact the girl with the sapphire, and if so, is the earth flat?"

I prefer "Kimmi, would you go out on a date with me please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please..."

until she finally relents and says "Ugh, no. You know what? Ami has it. I don't even care if I'm supposed to lie. Just go away."

That's how you get it in 1/2 a question. The downside is you get modkilled by Xalxe for hitting on his nieces.

@CC: That question will only tell you whether whether the girl always lies or always tells the truth. It will not tell you anything about where the sapphire is.
