I agree. I think the roleblocker is a terrible role for a pro-town player to use (as it's on the whole more likely to harm the town than help them), and should rarely, if ever, be used.Cogito Ergo Scum wrote:If you think like this, there wouldn't be any good reason for a town roleblock to block someone ever. Unless you're 100% sure someone's scum.
I was against the town guiding someone who is likely either a SK or vigilante. In that particular instance, it makes it much more difficult to distinguish between the two if we force him to kill as we see fit.ThAdmiral wrote:@ thesp: I thought you were against me telling nocmen what to do, such as not to kill anyone last night. (also note I wasn't the only one saying that).
Are you comfortable with that?kilmenator wrote:Thats lynch -1 CES

This actually makes a lot of sense. I thought you didn't want the town to lead his actions so the mafia would be able to block him/kill him when they thought he was going to be used against them or something.Thesp wrote:I was against the town guiding someone who is likely either a SK or vigilante. Why did you state it in the first place?kilmenator wrote:

Is there something wrong with the fact that I stated it? I stated it because I wanted to make sure everyone knew it, I also wanted to show that scum have not finished him off yet, which if he is town, is quite interesting. Cause scum could have easily hammered.Thesp wrote:

I ask because I'm curious. I find your defensiveness here notable.kilmenator wrote:

I don't think this is an indication of anything. A scum hammering a fellow scum will score some points with the town anyway, so it works either way.kilmenator wrote:I stated it because I wanted to make sure everyone knew it, I also wanted to show that scum have not finished him off yet, which if he is town, is quite interesting. Read.
We don't have a really good case on anyone. Though CES is probably our beat lead, I'n not nearly ready for a lynch. We need to find more things to discuss..
CES's behavior seemed more like silly/strange than scummy. The fact that he's using a gimmick to make himself harder to read doesn't look good to me either. I just don't think it's a strong enough case for a lynch, yet.
I'd like to hear more from a34maniac and Seol.-

Who do you think is scum, even if it's only a gut feeling or whatever.bertrand wrote:Read.

Random Notes, made under the assumption I'm town:
- Coron was killed to incriminate me.
- The mafia wants to have me lynched today.
- Kilmenator and/or Thesp is scum. Thesp is trying to set up chain lynches, and this conversation they're having is sketchy. I don't really like Kilmenator's posts today either.
- TheAdmiral is trying to set up chains too, and his posts are blah.
- We need to hear from the lurker.Nai, could we get prods/replacements/modkills?"This topic needs more CESc." --Vi-

2.How do you know scum want you lynched and not someone else? Because you have the biggest wagon? Are you positive that scum are trying to lynch you and not that pro-town players see your play as anti town?
3. I am town and I get the feeling that Thesp is town too, mind elaborating on why you think one or the other of us is scum?

Howso on the chain lynches? I don't see it.Cogito Ergo Scum wrote:- Kilmenator and/or Thesp is scum. Thesp is trying to set up chain lynches, and this conversation they're having is sketchy. I don't really like Kilmenator's posts today either.

Unvote
I have decided that I am against CES' lynch today.
How about those barning the wagon that was made out of nothing?bertrand wrote:And maybe Dagger, but there's really not much reason behind that. I don't like how he started the Nocmen wagon on day 1 out of nothing.
Here's an idea. How about going after me today? Let's discuss more. Discussion is good. No sense to leave it for tomorrow.ThAdmiral wrote:Agreed.
I'll probably go after him tomorrow pending any interesting complications.
FoS: ThAdmiral

I'll take another good long hard look at Thesp if kilmenator comes up scum.-

Do you actually know what WIFOM is? This is in no way WIFOM. As I said, these are notes made under the assumption that I'm town.kilmenator wrote:1.WIFOM
Well, if note 1 is true, that means the mafia killed Coron to get me lynched today. No matter who's on my wagon, that was the initial plan.kilmenator wrote:2.How do you know scum want you lynched and not someone else? Because you have the biggest wagon? Are you positive that scum are trying to lynch you and not that pro-town players see your play as anti town?
I've given my reasons in my previous post. I could make long sentences that mean exactly the same as what I said already, but instead I won't.kilmenator wrote:3. I am town and I get the feeling that Thesp is town too, mind elaborating on why you think one or the other of us is scum?
Deflecting from what I said myself? I don't really know what point you're trying to bring across here. If you mean I'm trying to deflect from my own wagon, point 1 to 3 are far more deflective than 4 and 5, and everything someone said in his defence is basically deflecting.kilmenator wrote:4 and 5- Deflecting-

Apparently the forum hiccuped and lost my post. Farkle rolling is allowed once more, on a trial basis. Please play mafia too. Everyone is at 0, and rolling proceeds down the list of active players.

As for the replacement, still working on it. No one has wanted in. I may just modkill, but I'm trying to avoid that.-

Mafia is a game in which there is a group of people pitted against an ungrouped people. I am indeed looking for links between players. I'm confused as to why you think that is a bad thing. Can you clarify?Cogito Ergo Scum wrote:

1) You're sometimes quite stretching in finding links between people.
2) It unhelpful talking about links that make the death of a townie incriminate someone else. It's what the mafia did last night, and it's what you're trying to do to.
