Gator has points against him but no more really than are against me. I believe replacements or at least prods are in order as I only have reasonable reads on Gator (probably the VI or scum), Soup(fine), Oman(aggressive town, good) and Niv(again probably fine although I'm not so sure). 5/9 is not good when you only have 2 scum.

If I had to lynch I'd say Gator as there's more to analyse (his reactions with soup early on, Niv being somewhat anti-soup then, and so on).

Anyway I agree with Jenter that 5/9 is not good odds, but I do question something.

I thought we had three. 10 v. 2 are not good odds, if you count N0 as a kill thats 9 v 2. I'd be more swayed to say its 8v3. If we only have two scum, then we get 4 mislynchs, assuming no doc saves. Thats a good rate for town. With three scum we only get three. I agree that a lynch of Gator would be better then say erg0 or Langly, but I'd like to see D1 go longer.

It's not a good idea to say something like this. It's basically WIFOM. It's equivalent to arguing that you can't be scum because you're just such a bad player. A newbie might similarly claim that he made mistakes just because he didn't know any better.

Before we lynch anyone we should wait until Langley and zakk are replaced so that we can hear their thoughts.

I think the claim of VI is scummy in itself, firstly cause its WIFOM and secondly, cause it's a poor excuse for poor behaviour. Allowing someone to claim it and live is sort of encouraging the behaviour.

Newbie games are rife with them. Its hard to seperate the idiots from the scum. Gator sorta claimed the same thing last game, we lynched and he was scum.

Unfortunately, my experience has been different - 90% of the time the person who does something outrageously bad on day 1 turns out to be a vanilla townie. Of course, that doesn't rule out the possibility that this game falls into the other 10%.

Thoughts so far.

Gator: He's either scum or the VI(http://mafiascum.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5634). He's not very logical or thoughtful in his posts. Doesn't add any value to the discussion. I'd like to give him a chance to help us form a better opinion of him by posting more (and with great substance) starting right now.

regarding gator claiming to be VI, just so you know i had earlier called him out as being either VI or scum.

regarding lynching the VI, i don't think its a good play. vote for gator if you think he's mafia, not because of play style.

let's not lynch anybody until we hear more from the missing two players.

Ok, had a good read through. Initial thoughts are no-one jumps out as too scummy immediately.

Most interesting part was seeing a few people jump on Soupfly then when he made some explanations, everyone seemed to back off. Similar situation with Oman but as someone pointed out, they probably got jumped on because they were the most active at the time.

Have some interesting ideas about who could be partnered up but nothing I want to reveal yet without seeing some more discussion.

Weird claim to being VI by Gator. Would be interested to know why Soupfly called him out as VI/Scum early on and if he still feels the same (since his vote is on Zakk atm)
