Hmmm, the Communications Officers are apparently falling down on the job of informing you that I am CES' clone.

At this point I am happy (and you should be too) to
Vote: PlaysWithSquirrels
and, pending the outcome of that lynch, possibly stark. Have not done a full readthrough yet...

Flay, would you be willing to share your own security clearance level? I think I have an inkling what it might be.

Peter-I, is this a true message? Or were you merely fulfilling your duties as Happiness Officer here?

DA-G-EN-2, while I appreciate the offer, I will not reveal my clearance yet. It may be more useful later. Your speculation is welcome, however.

I do agree that that name looks faked to me.
Now, life is civilized. Once there was a city, barbaric in its ways. Yet, they were an empire. But even before that, they were two brothers. They fought. Remus said ow, and it all began.

The hell? We finally
have
some information about this game. We now know that there are at least three factions: Communists, Enemies of Friend Computer, and 'others', who are presumably normal, loyal citizens. Anyone disagree that Sarcastro looks like our only pro-town death so far??

I never received a personalized role PM. I received a cut and paste of my predecessor.

I had to figure out the naming convention and apply it. It is just as "made up" as my predecessor's name, and follows the rules laid out in all the supplemental reading.

I still am highly suspicious of Stark, TCS, and now PWS.

Why didn't the death notice say if Sarcasto was "an enemy of the computer" or not? I assume he was, in the same way that Sefer was?

In addition, I thought I was the happiness officer...

My apologies to everyone playing this game. I do not have the grasp on the rules that I thought I did.

yes, i do. I think its much more likely that our gracious mod hasnt yet had time to edit the post with that info. and its not just that that confuses me. All the RP stuff, combined with these roles, and up until today apparently, a distinct lack of activity, all contribute.
Sorry, but i'd rather let somebody who has more to contribute, replace me. Of course, i'll continue posting what i can until a replacement is found.

Don't hate me.

Peter, read the first page again. Friend Computer selected 4 Happiness Officers, 4 Communications Officers, 3 Hygiene Officers, and (by default) 1 Team Leader. Since it was done in public and after the game started, I can't imagine it's having any actual game effect, it's just local color.
What I was
really
asking about was whether or not your "one blink good, two blinks bad" information was flavor, or an actual "result" of some kind.
As a replacement, I also received the role PM of my predecessor, so I have his "code name", not my own. Yours doesn't fit the pattern, in that it's not all caps and the last section should have (at most) three characters, but I don't think that's a big deal either since you aren't that familiar with the game. I don't think it's particularly scummy, since role names also aren't likely to be indicative of power roles or alignment, at least from what I've seen of the thread. The Fonz, for example, is DA-G-EN-2, indicating he's the second clone and has Green clearance.

BM: I don't hate you, but I don't see why you'd think The Computer is incapable of editing the first post in a timely manner. That sounds an awful lot like treason... and it makes more sense to me that no red text on a nightkill means that he's pro-town. Remember, TCS is claiming to be a role redirector... by the way,
what did you do last night, TCS?
Who were your three names, please?

So it is possible that Sarcastro tried to kill TCS and got it redirected upon himself.

Though much more likely he was simply the NK with the scum concluding he was unlynchable, so must be NKed.

Really want to hear PWS answer Flay's question (and preferably the earlier ones from Mojo which he dismissed as fishing) before going further.

Ugh, dude, why would you even
ask
that?

When I avoided responding directly, why did you bold it? You think I missed it??

What kind of response would satisfy you?

In short, why on earth do you continue to press me about it?!

I respectfully decline to answer as I'm not sure what its significance is at this juncture. If you want to explain to me what you wish to gain from this information I may be more accomadating.

Frankly, yes. You've already said you didn't have a good grasp on the theme of the game. I ask because, live or dead, knowing what you intended by that is helpful to me. Once you're dead, we only get to speculate, since it appears we will not be learning Secret Society powers on death. If that was a "breadcrumb", you might as well have shared out the full loaf.

I'm curious, frankly. There may be some sort of correlation, or it may be completely irrelevant to the game, but I'd be remiss to not take advantage of every piece of information available to me. Your lack of cooperation is noted.

Mr. Flay, by your logic, you should be more than willing to share your own clearance.

Do it now, or your "lack of co-operation" will be noted.

Well, that's as may be, but I'm not the one under the microscope here at present. PWS continues to be evasive, and I also want to hear DA-G-EN-2/The Fonz's speculation first, since it'll be ruined if I reveal first.

Afterward, sure.

Flay: Any reason you think I'm being evasive other than me not revealing my clearance.

That being said, I'm ready to take a more active role in this game but real life has been interfering a lot lately.

Venkman: Your strong-arm tactics are getting pretty tiresome. Check yo'self before you wreck yo'self.

On a separate note, you seemed all too willing to accept Flay and Fonz's read on me as truth. Elaborate, plz.
