I'm a little confused as to what the "this" that might not work, is.

Aj RVS-voted because he thought FAQ might show up on the basis of the vote.
He then immediately corrected himself, acknowledging that FAQ had already posted a confirmation, but he didn't change the vote to match the RVS reason, if it was simply an RVS vote.

That made me think that the two might have interacted before, and that Aj might be aware of a tendency of FAQ's to show up when voted. So I asked.
Incidentally, KTthecreeper is the first player on the list who hadn't posted then (and still hasn't). So I voted KT.

Only dropped out one time (and by your post I guess that was a game you were in) from circumstances beyond my control.

I've played mafia on quite a few sites, sometimes the names are different but the mechanics are the same; mafiascum is the only site I've played on with 2 week long day phases. on my home site, voting someone, especially if they've already been voted for, is a good way to bait them into posting if they're actively lurking. I'm not sure that would work the same way on this site, solely because of how long the day phases are. time is important when days last 72 hours; it's not as important when days last 2 weeks.

I think you're just using a random quote to draw a parallel but I want to make sure: Is that an accidental misquote?

Let me put it this way.

"Random" voting stage is just as it says to me. So I found someone to vote for and did. The entire comment about Fa_Q2's activity level can't really be explained now but suffice to say I generally am active in the replacement queue. As to why I didn't switch it, I don't feel a need to. I doubt fa_q2 is worried about it and I generally like to weather the storm until we're done with RVS.

While I generally do the same (or if i have knowledge of the setup then i try to break it or abuse it), I don't see why you can't start making assesments during RVS while waiting, nor understand why you need to be put at L-1 to contribute.

I make any assessments about RVS later. It's a necessary part of the game to get people involved and start the game. However, I don't think much of the going-ons unless there's something blatant.
