As the sun shines its rays upon a dead town, Streeflo smiles to himself. All the struggles, the lies, the murders were worth it in the end.
Streeflo, Shanba, and ThaiBoxerShorts' Mafia win!


The roles:
ThaiBoxerShorts - Mafia Don: Investigation immune.
Shanba - Mafia Tough Guy: NK immune.
Streeflo - Mafia Mad Gunman - Daykiller.
Khelvaster - Cop: Investigated TBS night zero. :o

Everyone Else - Townsperson


The basic concept for the setup was the tension of immunity between the mafia and the three powerroles. The Don is immune to the cop; the Tough Guy to the vig; and in an indirect way, the Mad Gunman to the Doctor.

Shame we screwed the setup by killing most of the power townies D1. Ah well, I thought that was a pretty decent comeback but the scum probably deserved to win in the end.

Yea, I thought this game was unbalanced toward mafia. I probably should not have received the Daykill. Even if I did, a nightstart was too much. The N0 Cop kill really hurt the town a lot, though essentially making TBS a goon.

Sorry I had to attack you and put so much pressure on you shanba. I discussed with Hautboy the night before that it was crucial to leave me alive so I can pull off the daykill.

However, after he started lurking I decided to help Erg0 start a lynch on him because I thought it would let me survive to endgame.
When you replaced in however, I had already pressured HautBoy too much. Backing off then would raise suspicions, for example when I unvoted as you replaced Erg0 mentioned "I don't like that unvote."

Good game all. Town really got screwed over really early. N0 cop kill, D1 mislynch, and losing a vig and a townie N1.

The town lost due to two mislynches and a misvig. That's not particularly imba. :shrug: The addition of the mason group in a game this small helped to balance a lot.

After TBS was lynched, I figured there
must
have been a doc still alive who didn't protect Jenter N1, because the game would have been unbalanced otherwise.

That's why we chose to kill Gatorguy instead of Jimmy. Because Gatorguy had suspicions on some mafia members, but most of the town regarded Jimmy as more level-headed.

After shanba was lynched however, I took the chance of trying to take out Jimmy so I could convince the town to no lynch and bring it down to 3 players. Then I could Daykill and win the game.

However, after that failed the plan was to try to get Erotomachia lynched due to connections with shanba. When Erotomachia claimed doc however, I nearly had a nervous breakdown. XD

Yeah I don't think the setup was particularly unbalanced, it just worked out badly because all of the power roles on the town side died. There could have been some interesting scenarios down the track if the vig and cop had still been around. Equally, if either TBS or Haut Boy/Shanba had been the daykiller then things would have been pretty different too.

The masons were definitely a big advantage to the town, if it weren't for them we would have been done by day 2 I think. I'm fairly happy with my scumhunting in this game, since I nailed two out of three, but I do think the scum deserved the win after we put ourselves in such a bad position.

I enjoyed this game. Erg0, you did an exceptional job hunting scum. Although I think you put slightly too much trust in Streeflo.

If anything, I probably didn't trust you enough. By the time we lynched soupfly I was almost certain he was town, but I didn't unvote because I thought you were the scum and we were just going through the motions. It wasn't until I thought about it overnight that I realised that you probably were telling the truth, but I thought we could still pull it out. Ah well.

Hah. I actually believe the towntell I had on Erotomachia. And I probably would have usd the same logic to vote Erg0 if I had been town. The whole "his logic is shaky" thing really got to me XD.

However, Erg0 was quite right when he pointed out the distancing between TBS qnd me. I guess I probably wouldn't have been quite so gungho about saying Eroto was town if I had been town, but my logic would have remained the same. Not noticing soupfly had been defending me was sheer idiocy, and really threw me. If I had been town, I would have attacked Streeflo much, much harder, though. That second vote then unvote thing looked scummy to me, as if he was pushing for a quicklynch then realised he wouldn't get it when I was replaced. But it worked well as distancing, so nicely done.

Kinda a swingy game. If town gets lucky they can have two masons, a cop, 2 confirmed innocents and a vig confirmed by day 2. But that's the way of all high power games.

damn, i should have fought for my life. if i did I would have attacked streeflo because i believed Eroto's claim and streeflo seemed much scummier than erg0. but i was so sure that the townies would lynch me in lylo that i figured it wouldn't be a good play for me to survive to the final three.

my downfall started when eroto jumped on me. then shanba picked it up and he was scum. then steeflo picked it up and unfortunately Erg0 followed. if only eroto had seen me as more town!

brutal that we only got a total of 3 mislynches but that's the luck of the draw i guess. in hindsight i think a day start would have been a little bit better given the day kill ability of streeflo.

thanks for the great game guys. i really enjoyed playing with you.

Lol, you guys played well. I figured out the scum D2 (read: Maz told me). I watched you play through the whole time.

Shanba fought well but was ultimatly sunk from the beginning.

Streef did awesome, and that Daykill really ruined the LyLo thing. I think that Daykill screwed it up as the town felt they had another lynch up their sleeves and so were more reckless than normal.

Maz, its a nice setup, I like the idea of immunities to different players (rock paper scissors style) however I heavily, heavily dislike the idea of daykilling scum in a mini.

Thanks for the game, D2 might be nice next time.

In practice, the scum daykill reveals the player as scum, and would only ever be used in endgame, or in a situation where the daykiller was certain to be lynched. With another vig present, there's no way the town would buy the idea of having a daykilling vig as well, so a fakeclaim wouldn't get the scum very far.

Given those limitations it's not quite as unbalanced as it first appears - it was really bad luck that the daykiller happened to be the last remaining scum, and if we'd gotten it right on day 4 then it wouldn't have even been a factor. If anything, I'd suggest adding the caveat that the daykill can't be used in endgame, or maybe adding a killproof townie to provide a possible counter for the town.

Having said that, I completely sympathise with Maz for the number that we did on his setup - I had almost exactly the same thing happen in a carefully balanced but role-heavy game I'm running on another site. By day 2, the tracker, doctor, back-up doctor and one-shot vig were all dead...
