2) While I understand that my perspective on the game is different, there's really nothing to be gained by moping over it. You took risks, you cast votes, and it's way too late to do anything but own it and see if there's something that can be done better next time.

I was Professor Paragon in like 2010 or something; now I'm lucky to get out of Mafia games without getting preachy PMs from site moderators. It doesn't change that for a while both of us were adored. It's fine to want that again; it doesn't have to be through Mafia though.

In other words, do what you enjoy doing. Don't forget that whether you play Mafia or not, you have a fanclub who has been convinced into fawning adoration by your MOONBEAMS, and that's not going to change.

gg scum, and thanks to everyone for playing and Andy for modding! There's still a few things that I think can be done better with the setup, notably that scum basically can't fakeclaim and expect to live through it and that the endgame tendency to nuke everyone except one person doesn't actually give town a better winning % over leaving two alive, it just screws over the scum if they're the last nuke to fall and gives the win to the SK instead, and forcing scum to be the literal towniest person alive on the final day to win doesn't feel fair.

I mentioned this in the dead QT, but implementing the radiation meter AGM was originally thinking about to hamper the town in minor ways for firing off a ton of nukes (hiding which troop was deployed after X nukes, things like that) might help but another defcon game is a while off anyway I think.

Buuut if you're interested in another bloody game, I'm getting together

tough

to win as groupscum in this setup. (Although it's an open question whether that's the way it should be given general Mafia game balance.)

Also, I only just remembered to find space for a Fall Out Boy reference. Ah well.

Now that I am not at work: Thank you for a great game, everyone. Despite the grumbling in the graveyard thread, this was one of the more fun games I've played. Kudos to Firebringer, especially. Without him, I might have taken this game seriously.

Nahdia and Cheetory6 are cool.

So much this. Winning is one thing, but something that's more important that gets lost sometimes when we're busy being awful to one another is making the game fun. Playing with the two of you was a lot of fun, and I'd do it again (if Mafia wasn't such a terrible game).
