1) It's not exactly a super powerful role that scum absolutely wants off the table no matter the cost.
2) Gin is in a good position and putting himself in a hard CC would be weird just to get you lynched.

Pretty sure lynching BTD is the right call here.

If it does turn out that BTD6 is town and Gin is scum, that means Gin's team felt Gin was in the worst position of the entire team and he would CC in order to get rid of BTD. Meaning the other two scum are likely in your town circlejerk-bloc as well.
