Quack, in this situation, reads; "You are a Cop. Each night, you may investigate one person. If they are town, they die." A power with a drawback, but still a power. I don't see how asking whether it's ever worth it to use is scummy.

2) I was checking to see if anyone stepped out of their way to either further my seemingly poorly-reasoned attack (scum attacking an apparently vulnerable townie) or defend you (scumbuddy defense).

So if someone furthered your attack, they're scum, and if someone defended me, they're scum? It looks like the only way here to not be branded scum is to ignore the issue altogether - of course, then one would be called out for lurking.

I'm having difficulty reading through the apathy, but I still don't like Tar's reaction to my suggestion at all. I would also consider a MoS lynch.

I imagine the opinion would be the same as any other plan that would involve possibly murdering helpless townies.

I think this exchange speaks for itself. In summary: I merely asked a question. I didn't push a plan. The reaction was immediate and overblown.

Wrong. You failed to take into account that Oman and I are voting each other.

Tar is clear. He has a 50% chance of lynching correctly no matter who he picks in either pool, assuming a random lynch.

Pool 1: Exactly 1 of Oman/Phate is scum. (a town player *cough*me*cough in Pool 1 knows, 100%, that the other is scum, and has a 50% chance of lynching scum by lynching randomly in the Pool 2.)

Pool 2: Exactly 2 of farside22/kuribo/shaft.ed/TylerJ is scum. (a town player in this pool has a 50% chance of lynching scum by lynching randomly in Pool 1 and a 66.67% chance of lynching scum by lynching randomly in Pool 2)

So mathematically speaking, it's best for any townies within two pools to vote someone else in their pool.

It's not anything you've particularly said or done that jumps out, it's just a general feeling I have. I can't really explain it.

This, colloquially known as 'gut', is a logical fallacy. Sure, you may have a gut feeling that Player X is scum. That's fine.

But it's tied to things that Player has said and done, which you should be able to show.

'Gut' should not be used as an excuse to vote/suspect someone without any other reason.

You and phate could be scum trying to convince others that Oman is the scum. I'm not trusting either Oman or you at this moment and I'm hoping to here from others about what is going on.

The supreme lack of logic in this post makes me more inclined to believe that farside22 is stupid newbie town rather than scum.
