Dean Harper has 72 hours to reply to his prod.

Also - Jester, a recommendation for the future: the V/LA thread exists for a reason. -Tar

Ninth Vote Count

Blackberry (3) -
Dean Harper
, SlySly, thenextspidode
Earwig (2) - Tamuz, Rosso Carne
Tamuz (2) - Johoohno, Earwig
thenextepisode (1) - Blackberry
Johoohno (1) - Nyktorion

Not Voting (3): Ectomancer, ryan, Jester

FoS Count:

Rosso Carne (1) - Nyktorion
Blackberry (3) - thenextepisode, ryan, Jester
Ectomancer (2) - Earwig, thenextepisode
Earwig (1) - Ectomancer

Before anyone asks - yes, players have multiple FoS'es. The only limitation on FoS'es is that you can only have one FoS on a player at a time (Rule 1 excepted). -Tar

Indigo
indicates a player in danger of replacement.

This is stretching things quite a lot, don't you think?
You think so? When I first read Johoohoo's post, I thought that his statements about the SK and the low-profile-players were related. Going from that point, I believe that my accusation is not that far away.
Johoohoo wrote:That is both possible and probable (since we're twelve I guess there are no more than three mafias, and if there is an SK there might be as few as two scums). Though, I think my posts have added, in my view valuable, content most of the time, whereas a few other low profile players only marked their presence with a post.
Since the relation between the statements does not seem to exist as much as I thought, I'll
Unvote: Johoohoo
. However, Johoohoo, keep in mind: as Blackberry also said, surviving is not the primary goal in this game, but hunting scum is (though the former can of course be helpful in achieving the latter).

The next one on my list would be Rosso Carne again, for reasons already mentioned. Since they are still valid up to now, and I am getting a hard time to still explain them by just playstyle,
unFOS: Rosso Carne, Vote: Rosso Carne
. An additional interesting question would be why you voted Earwig without mentioning any scummy things about him so far. (the same question of course also goes to Tamuz for post #54)

Would you be willing to provide reasons?
Earwig, are you asking Tamuz for reasons as to why he thinks you are scum or are you asking him why he thinks berry is suspect?

The question seems a little unclear to me.

Tamuz had posted several times between your question and your vote, so I don't see your vote as unreasonable.

Delayed OMGUS, interesting.
Tamuz, how is Earwig's vote an OMGUS vote?

Unless you overlooked Earwig's posting prior to his vote, I don't understand how you can call it OMGUS as his vote has clear reasoning behind it.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ectomancer wrote: On what point are you being OMGUS'd? I didn't see a reason for your vote. Earwig's vote seems to be a prod for an answer from you. He did provide 2 more reasons for his vote than you did for yours after all.
Tamuz, it appears I am not the only one questioning your defining Earwig's vote as an OMGUS vote.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First you didn't answer Earwig's question and now it seems you are not going to attempt to answer Ecto's question. Are you purposely establishing this pattern of ignoring the questioning from others or is this something you are doing unknowingly?

Tagalong query, but you neglect to address Tamuz's unexplained vote as well? Are you really curious about why people are voting for Earwig? (Yes, I realize Nyktorian did not address it either, but I'm interested in your response.) What stood out for me was that you came to Tamuz' defense in post 37 by tossing an fos on me for attacking him early (and moving us out of the random stage), and now you are omitting him from a query involving unexplained votes on Earwig. Oversight?

@Rosso Carne - What's going on with you? After being accused of some fluff posts, you toss out an unexplained vote, and then when pressured, you can't explain the reason until after a re-read? And you will probably unvote him, erasing the first mafiascum move you have made? It makes it look like you voted him simply to make a contribution, but had no plan beyond the vote.

ecto- i wasnt so much defending Tamuz as I was suspecting your overly aggressive play. regardless of the player, that would have been my response.
I was under the impression that Tamuz's vote was during the random phase of hte game, but Ill have to go back and reread.
Rosso Carne seems suspicious because he's semi-lurking, and really hasn't made much of a contribution to anything.
Nyktorion's logic seemed reasonable, so i ask a response of RC

Does insulting people make you feel like a better player? I asked why him reading Earwig's game was an obvious reason for his theory (he could have thought he found a tell and was looking to see if it was done earlier) if you don't have an intelligent answer to my question, don't answer.

Hmm, I may have missed that. If so, it makes sense not to bother him over it. I think it makes Rosso's vote without reason even more suspect. It makes little sense to add pressure to someone without explaining what they are supposed to be feeling pressured about.

He said it was obvious metagaming, not that the theory was obvious. You two quit muddying the waters by being too dim to understand each other.

You're lurking with fluff posts, but that's semantics. Are you going to avoid justifying your vote on Earwig again? How about that re-read?

I went back and looked, his vote was after what I would consider the random stage. It appeared to be in direct response to Earwig's previous post though, so I think his reasoning was implied, rather than expressly stated. Your response still looks good.

I did not forget Tamuz' vote for Earwig, in fact I mentioned it in my post #151. However, since it was the smallest of my points against RC, I did not elaborate on that so much - and that's also why I am pressing against RC at the moment, and not against Tamuz.

Blackberry's theory is far from all that I have seen going on in this game so far - I guess you are just not looking closely enough. However, I do share the belief that the focus on this theory has been stronger in the last few pages than it deserves to be.

That being said, I'm currently happy with my vote.

Sounds to me as a lot of old arguments are only spinning in circles right now. Seems as if the town has five lynch candidates:

Rosso - The condescending and uninformative poster
Blackberry - The flamboyant poster
Earwig - The amnesiac poster
Tamuz - The lurking non-poster
thenextepisode - The (theory) inquisitive poster

Which one of these gentlemen do you all feel okay to lynch today? I can’t say I have a strong case against anyone of them, but I’m willing to swing my vote to almost anyone of them to increase some pressure. (Though, as of now, I would prefer either Earwig or Tamuz (and possibly a dark horse: slysly) to be the lynch of the day.)

Ecto and Blackberry,

What exactly do you not like about Johoo's post?

Is it ...

1. His complaining about old arguments without presenting any of his own?
2. His poor math by stating there were 5 lynch possibilities and listing 6?
3. His generalizing categorizations of each poster?
4. His poor list presentation where his 6th list entry is buried in a later paragraph?
5. His eagerness to put a vote on someone for nothing other than pressure?
6. His inferred request to be lead to a lynch target?

Other than these little things, I didn't see much wrong with the post.
