That would be a pretty harsh restriction. Someone told me that he usually gets more active later in the game, but I'm yet to see evidence of that.Toaster Strudel wrote:SirTornado has voted only twice. Both posts consisted solely of votes. That's why I ask."You were doing well until everyone died."

Let me explain the difference between chatting, and playing mafia.
When chatting, we can say all the nonsense we like, or even say nothing, the conversation doesn't need to go anywhere. There's no goal.
In mafia, we try to lynch people. You have to think of this as a goal. A goal best accomplished before senility sets in, or some players begin to die off of old age, and Day 2 stretches over 724342389 pages, and we have to recruit replacements among our grandchildren, or force them to replace in our wills.
Just sayin' - for those that are unclear on the concept. Maybe a reminder is helpful.
Where's my keyboard? What IS a keyboard? Oh yeah, there it is, in the microwave. Too many wrenches in the gravy, Matilda. Matilda? Horror! The Germans are coming, the Germans are coming! Quick! Put the the telephone in the bathtub!Squeezable icing, flaky pastry crust and sweet, gooey fillings are irresistible.

Also I'm still here, I took one of my weird week long breaks where I lurk all over the place.
Ask anyone who's in Fire Emblem mafia, since night there lasted like a week or so.
Also feel free to replace into fire emblem mafia!

Did a reread on Erg0. I don't like the way he tried to get Peers lynched when he (mistakenly) came up alive. Why try to lynch the claimed doc? That seems like doing the scum's work for them. Sure, he might have survived because he's scum... but there's no reason to lynch him immediately. If he's scum he would get caught when the real doc dies, and if he's the doc the scum would want to kill him before too long.
Vote Erg0
In other news, I'm pretty sure hasdgfas isn't scum. If I have time I'll see if there's anyone suspicious on his wagon.#mafia@irc.globalgamers.net

It's interesting that you see it that way, given that the delayed kill actually proved the basis for my vote was valid: If he was really the doctor I would have expected him to be killed overnight - and he was. There's only so long that you can leave someone alive and wait for them to be nightkilled, especially in a closed setup where you never know how close you are to losing. As much as people always say "well, the scum might have left him alive to create a WIFOM lynch", I rarely see it actually happen - especially with multiple killing groups as we have here."You were doing well until everyone died."

This is very interesting, because it implies that if Toaster Strudel has a non-Villager role it starts with N, E, G, W, L, T, K, or Y. That excludes pretty much every role I can think of ... except Werewolf. (Nurse is possible, but it would imply the presence of a Doctor, and D isn't in the list.)Toaster Strudel wrote:
For the record, I thought each letter represented the first letter of a role in the game. For instance, there are 4 "W" which I thought to signify 4 werewolves. WithToaster Strudel wrote:

Maybe two power roles at most. I think it's more likely that there's five scum and four power roles. I've been in a six-scum 19-player game, but that was two mafias in a no-cross-kill game, so I don't think we've got that many. Four or five makes the most sense...?NEGWLTWWWTKYasons andMailkeepers I have to reckon I supposed wrong.J
So either Toaster Strudel is a Villager and claimed unnecessarily, or he's a Werewolf and wasn't thinking hard enough before posting. Hmmm.#mafia@irc.globalgamers.net

It's obvious from the flavor that the werewolf kill was Yosarian2. Do you think that werewolves are the only scum in this game? Three night kills is a strong indication of at least two scum kills, possibly even three if the third wasn't a vig. I doubt very much that a pro-town player would have killed the claimed doctor on Night 1, so it stands to reason that the kill came from scum of some sort.Xylthixlm wrote:

That makes it sound like you're not part of the general populace.Erg0 wrote:
