Erg0 denied it. That's essentially two people saying they have role-based information which contradicts in some ways (directly or indirectly) what Guardian claims.

If I'd targeted hasdfgas for something other than a kill last night, that would have at least confirmed the tracker part of Guardian's claim. As such, I would have claimed that if it were true.

I agree Erg0's response is unsurprising - it's Guardian's initial claim about Erg0 (

and

subsequent counterfactual-claim), coupled with the earlier assertion that makes Guardian the play for the day.

The list of things you could have claimed is pretty short, though. Vig doesn't work due to the kill method, protect is unlikely since he, er, died (though I suppose it's possible you could have been a protector against another group), roleblocking a claimed mason doesn't make much sense, that only leaves investigation, or possibly something dodgy like recruitment.

The overwhelmingly most likely reason for you to be seen going to Cow is that you're scum who killed him. In that context, full denial would strike me as being the percentage play.

So, between you being town and not actually going there, and you being scum who did (or scum who didn't, as I suppose cicero/ooba's theory is at least plausible), I think those possibilities have at least a 90% chance of being true between them.

So I guess I don't see you doing what I'd expect you to do 90% of the time anyway as any great tell either way.

Moot, I suppose, since I think Guardian's lying regardless. But I don't think that statement reflects well on Thesp. There are any number of good reasons to believe Guardian is scum. I don't think that's one of them.

I don't think you're understanding what I'm saying in the least. If Guardian came out independently and asserted that Erg0 had visited hasdfgas, I'd be more inclined to test the theory by lynching hasdfgas. However, he did so with a pseudo-guilty against him after coming under a lot of suspicion. I think Guardian is therefore significantly more likely to be scum, and want to see what comes of his lynch before drawing further conclusions.

Then the thing that makes him seem scum there is not the claim and counterclaim, but the pseudo-guilty on Guardian in the first place, surely? Would you suspect him less, with Twomz having come out with what he did, if he hadn't produced a 'result' of any interest, having claimed to have one before Twomz claimed? I wouldn't.

Guardian already made the point I was intending to make; We don't know what a "goblin" is. For all we know, "goblin" might be hobbittese for "power role". On the other hand, it DOES explain Guardian's secondary name claim.

Um... why would there be a Goblin miller if there are 2 or 3 scum factions and 2 or 3 separate investigative roles, one for each? It doesn't make much sense to me.

Guardian, lynching you gets us the most information regardless of alignment. If you are scum, it confirms that there are goblins in the game, confirms me and there is one less scum. If you are town, then I know my role is a crock (or someone else is messing with it), we know ergo is scum, and we confirm that the two scum groups are ninjas and pirates with little to no goblininess going on.

What's the vote count at? It's 12 to lynch right?

anyways, i tried to kill erg0 last night. he is 100% scum.

I also have role-based information that Thok is on an opposing scum faction. well, my buddy does. so he is another good lynch. 100% scum.


ooba is fairly clearly scum with Erg0//bussing from last two posts. Look at him, too.

tsq & Fonz (in the eyes of my and my buddy's scumdar from yesterday) are also likely scum. thesp maybe, but long shot.

Hm. There are some lynches for you. Please employ them. go goblins. And if not goblins, gl town. we have 2 members (me + one other) so plz try not to find him/her, we were pretty disadvantaged from the start and then I effed up.

we estimate the pirates and ninjas have... 4? maybe 3? We had advantage of flavor and PR, I bet they have numbers. definitely 3 scum groups though. maybe both other scum groups are pirates and ninjas is a red herring.
