Actually, there's rather more to 'me defending Erg0' than that. I made no secret of the fact I had a town read on Erg0 day one. My bad. I switched when he claimed vanilla townie, after he'd made the 'it seems like everyone is a power role' comment (along with the apparent flavour problem and the 'oh, I might have some secret ability' thing).
The Fonz wrote:I'd actually follow on the claimed tracker's results more often than the cop all things being equal. Cops can have variant sanities, trackers don't.

However all things are not equal: Erg0 looks town to me, and Guardian hella scummy.
The Fonz wrote: Incidentally, your little possibility list also excludes 'it's a massive bus.' But I still think Guardian-scum and Erg0-town is the most likely combination.

One might wonder why ooba fixated on my not believing a word out of Guardian's mouth as indication of a Fonz-Erg0 lynch, and not me actually saying I found Erg0 town, until it came to me that ooba did too.
ooba wrote: This also makes more sense . Goblins target an obviously protown player , Erg0 and the kill fails. Hence , guardians tale about having tracked Erg0 yesterday since the kill failed and he thinks Erg0 is scum.
ooba wrote:
The Fonz wrote:Sorry, Ooba, I noticed you described Erg0 as 'obvious protown' and say 'we should take a real close [look]' at him if Guardian comes up scum, in the same post.
Well , On a re-read of Day 1 , Erg0 appeared pretty protown. And in a game with multiple factions , scum will be protown since they are actively hunting members of the opposite factions.

I'd really like to see you explain why. One because I really don't see how it could, and two because that sounds like you casually floating an idea and hoping someone else runs with it.

That's fine. I can defend myself later if I need to.

If he had a guilty result at this stage he would have given it before night 3 (most likely) and if not then it is likely that he would have investigated Jordan that night. Following?

The Fonz wrote:Congratulations Erg0. We know from the first page that there is at least one vanilla townie in the game, and we now know from your comment that you aren't one of them. If you're not scum, please pull your head out of your ass and stop giving scum information it's better they lack.
It seems to me like you are saying, stop telling everyone you're not vanilla. Which, if you are scum buddies, is something that you would want to avoid as that makes him an ideal candidate for a NK.

That's just a small thing that I noticed under the grander scheme of you and Erg0 possibly being scum-buddies.

The grander scheme of me and Erg0 being possible scumbuddies that you hadn't mentioned at all, ever, until you snuck in that sly little insinuation you mean? In fact, you hadn't mentioned me at all.

I mean, sure, if you've already decided you think X and Y are scum together, pretty much anything can be seen as scum interaction. But do you dispute that letting scum know whether or not you're a power role is a bad thing for town players to do?

Ah. Gotcha. Still, he only had 1 night to investigate jordan, who says he wouldn't investigate someone else? It's a bit farfetched, but thanks for the info.

Mass-claiming: I'm not sure if I would oppose it at this stage. Let's see what roles we can expect:
-day-vig (confirmed)
-vig (confirmed)
-vampire finder (semi-confirmed)
-pirate protector (high chance)
-vampire protector (medium chance)
-communist protector (medium chance)
-governor (medium chance)
-mason (low chance)
-other
-ninja's safeclaim (high chance)
-pirate/ninja's safeclaim (medium chance)
-goblin's safeclaim (medium/high chance)
-vampire's safeclaim (medium chance)
-communist's safeclaim (medium chance)

Hm seeing this (all my opinion of course) I think massclaiming still wouldn't benefit us. Since scum appear to have safeclaims, it's not worth outing our powerroles. I am against it.

Having read other comments about a fonz/Erg0 pairing I thought I'd check it out for myself. That was the first thing I found, and I found it telling (for some reason).

Now doing a more thorough read through all of your posts I've noticed that your post 35 (taking you on your own) doesn't read as a scum pairing.

I don't think it's that far-fetched at all. He openly asked someone if they were a ninja, with no information (good assumption), as a cop I would expect him to check that person that night.

I don't want to mention the reasons but even with scum with safeclaims, i think it is in our benefit to have a massclaim.

I'm wondering what MBL sees.

Cicero: what if Rogueben is town? What if he's scum? (in other words, who's next)

Although there are other scummy players, Rogueben could certainly use a third vote.
Vote: Rogueben

As I've stated, I think Rogueben is our last pirate. If he's town, I'm wrong. I dont know what to do about that. Although I hear it's never happened before in the history of mafia.

If he's scum, I bet we eliminate a nightkill. Which is why I think he should be the play.

(Anyone who read the above and is getting ready to ask me why I think he's a pirate AGAIN gets swatted with a frozen trout)

I could also go with more Ooba votes for reasons already stated. Or one of the newfound silent types. But yeah. Pretty sure Rogueben is the guy who got Dripping Goofball killed on night zero. Back when he was named "The Status Quo." Cheeky Varmint.

I think my favorite part about Thesp's above post is the realization that he's the newest Paragon of Mafia Hunters

1. He already has. Please pay attention

2. I dont buy his claim. It was too conveniently placed after Erg0, and it doesn't add up to his "durr I dont know if I'm pirate or not" bit
