You're misunderstanding the point of this. I think that not voting for him before his scumclaim, and then suddenly piling on after, is a scumtell. Avoiding taking any position on a serious wagon either for or against, and then voting immediately after such a claim, seems pretty fishy. Egruntz's scumteam would have been aware that there were two scumteams; Xylthixlm's would not necessarily have been. So anyone on Egruntz's scumteam would have been really reluctant to vote him OR defend him, and would have been anxious both to avoid committing to a position on his lynch, and to be on his wagon once that lynch was inevitable, so as to distance to some extent. I do think an innocent voted that way; Korlash was the doc, and he did so.

I was reading, trying to figure out what Snaps was talking about in regards to you having knowledge of two scum teams day one, but I can't find it. Can YOU find it? Currently I'm leaning towards you as scum. I really want to see what Skruffs has proposed in the post above (658) and see what you're talking about in regards to two teams on day one.

There are probably more then 3 scum cause it's 18 player game.. My guess is either one group of 4 or 2 groups of 3. I try to avoid doctor speculation.

This is the post where Panz suggested we might have two scum groups on day one. It is post # 369. He doesn’t come right out and say he knows there are two scum groups, but he seems to be the only one who considered the possibility. He claims it was blind speculation and gives a “gut feeling” type of explanation in post 646:

was in response to Antithesis' post 365 where he speculates about number of scum. I don't out and out say their are 2 scum groups of 3 i say there is another option(being one group of 4-5[didn't add 5 in the post on accident]) Anyway, this is really just blind speculation based on being in large games and playing mafia for a while. You come to know what to expect.

Plus, I replaced into this game fairly late, at the very end of Day 1. Day 2 was ridiculously short. So, for me, it still feels like the early game. There's a colossal difference between reading the first 20 pages and actually participating in the first 20 pages.

Please respond to what has been said. I replaced in too, and I've managed to pull my weight in analyses. Not having played is not an excuse. It just means you need to try and make an extra effort.

I think it's bad policy to criticize people for replacing in and expecting them to do MORE work. I read the first 20 pages and have been participating. Why would anyone want to replace into a game if they're going to get crap like this?

This makes me want to participate LESS, not MORE.

I did not ask for a free pass. I asked to be held to the same standard as everyone else. Then, vollkan explained what he said and I conceded that he had a fair point.

Bookitty - I just thought it was rather convenient that you expressed that you would be willing to lynch Snaps after everyone else started saying they were suspicious. What you had said about Snaps previously:

So, there may be fewer than five scum, but I would highly doubt there's more of that. My predictions: Snaps (the lurker hunting is not helpful and once people started applying pressure, you started backing off), Bookitty (see above), OGML (No, this is not OMGUS, but it seems odd his vote for me would come four days after the post - is he not paying attention or is he scum?), liamcool (Comes out of lurking to state the obvious) and Phate (gut feeling here, though I've been wrong about him before).

Could you please elaborate on what you mean by "solidly interested in scumhunting"?

Also, I don't see the logic in your read of hasd. So he is playing differently here to when he was scum? I don't think that necessarily has any bearing upon his alignment.

For the record, I would have voted on Egruntz after he claimed (actually I was about to vote on him regardless) but he claimed and was lynched before I logged back on to the site again.

Personally, I don't thnk scum have any more reason than townies to lynch other scum. It just came down to who showed up online first. (In that regard, scum may be faster if they use Instant messengers or get notified via email if they have a PM).
