Panzer:

Reconcile: 4. to bring into agreement or harmony;
make compatible or consistent
: to reconcile differing statements; to reconcile accounts.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

A variety of potential factors:
1) Scum wanted to take out scum, and didn't think I was scummy
2) My involvement in the OGML lynch
3) Power-role hunting
4) WIFOM

Vote: Snaps

Stop pretending to be useful. You've managed to completely avoid catching scum with your "lurker hunting".

vollkan, I agree with most of your PBPA, but on 11, why do you find it strange that someone could disagree with someone else but not vote them? That's not really too unusual.

Ok, I'm just back from work, and I've forgotten all my suspicions about this game. I've attempted a reread, but I can't seem to focus. I'll have a meaningful post up tomorrow.

And
you
have managed to avoid scum catching with your constant lurking.
Rishi wrote:What I think is funny is that Snaps actually thinks that he has gotten me to post by his "applying pressure" to lurkers. He has a really skewed sense of his importance to this game.
Not the case at all. I don't have an exagerated sense of importance. Quite the opposite. I'm becoming increasinly frusterated with my lack of results. If you re-read my post you will see the key word you seem to be missing is MAYBE. There are any number of reasons you started posting more, I presented one.

As it seems I am the flavor of the day, I may as well post my suspicions:
Definate scum: Panzerjager
Possible scum : Rishi, Xyzzy
Lurks so much I can't tell one way or the other: Phate, Liamcool
Possible innocent : Bookitty, Vollkan
Definate innocent: Antithesis

If I'm "harmless" why vote for me? Wouldn't a better use of your vote be for someone who is actually hurting the town? Or perhaps you smell an easy bandwagon and want to jump on early?

I agree. It seems odd that all the people at the top of Snaps' suspicion list are people who are voting for him.

Snaps, I'm voting for you because I'm hoping that you can provide some useful content. Unfortunately, no such luck.

I'm not suspicious of Panzerjager, Rishi and Xyzzy just because they are voting for me. I'm suspicious because they are voting for weak reasons. Sure I don’t like lurkers and I even stated that we should clear some away early, but so far NOONE has shown how my anti-lurker attitude is scummy. Some players have pointed out that it’s not the most helpful, and perhaps that is true. However, have I been less helpful than the lurkers themselves?
Panzerjager, Rishi, and Xyzzy are using my dislike for lurkers as an excuse to hang me. Panzerjager in particular has been pushing pretty hard for it for two days now.
In addition to his weak reason for pushing my lynch, I am also suspicious of Panzerjager because of his relationship with Ergruntz. Day one he tried to direct him away from his no-lynch argument, then day two he bussed him. In addition, Panzerjager was the only player to suggest we had two scum groups and also seems to know how many are on each. You can refer to post 601 where I made these arguments earlier. Panzerjager can scream OGUMS all he wants, I have more reasons to suspect him than just his vote.

Okay, fine, your not only OMGUSing me, you are playing even worse then before because you are trying to get me hung for arbitrary things that you are only motivated to find because I want to lynch you.
In other words, your wasting your time looking at me instead of trying to catch scum that aren't on your team.

Anyway,
I was trying to direct Egruntz because it's simply bad play. I was advising against bad play. I have seen pro town players suggest no lynch, and anytime a player does so, I say you shouldn't do that because _____. And I already explained my thought of two scumgroups, how would I know the size and if another scum group exist day 1? I simply am experianced and figured thats what we were playing. Are you gonna lynch me for being right?

...I've caught you, scum.

But there hasn't been much scumhuning in this game because of people like yo creating needless noise. How do you expect anyone to effectively scumhunt when every other post is a new report of who's posting the least? Even if you're town, which I doubt, your behavior is destructive and won't help us in the long run. I'd rather see one more protown player die than have you lose the game in endgame because you don't understand what a real scumtell is.

I never support listmaking. I think it gives too much information to scum. It lets them know who the most townie people are, giving them targets to kill (especially since the scum in this game are trying to target townies rather than the other scum team). Also, it lets scum know how they're doing. If scum know their partner is on the verge of going down, then they'll know it's time to gas up the bus.

By the way, are people pretty much decided there are two scumteams of three? I just realized that I (and everyone else) has been posting under this assumption, but we haven't really seen any evidence of it. We could have two scumteams of two and a serial killer, for example. (Though, as I said in an earlier post, I think one-shot vig is much more likely than SK.)

I generally agree with the notion of not making lists, Rishi, but in this game with the amount of lurking that's already gone on, I don't think "giving too much information to scum" is as big a concern as "giving enough information to town."

I'm pretty well assuming that we have two scumgroups of three, but I could be wrong on that. It just seems the most conservative viewpoint, and thus the safest one for town to make. Better to assume worst case scenario and be pleasantly surprised than to assume something better and be painfully wrong.

I said what I have to say about listmaking. If the majority still thinks it's a good idea, I'll cooperate.

I'm also willing to compromise. I'd be okay with listing my top four scum suspects and saying two sentences on each.
