I thought this would include things such as people who aim to set-up the game,

This should be added as the FIRST type of player

Mostly a 3a, but I wouldn't be playing if it wasn't fun. I feel the fun of the game is the strategy, the logic and deduction, and everything else is just fluff. I think everyone should be playing to win, but I'm not going around shoving this down anyone else's throats. Nothing bothers me more than town with anti-town behavior or mafia screwing up, no matter what side I'm on, but that's part of the game and I take it willingly. This one time though, on a different site, I played a Dethy and got all pissed off when it turned out that one of the Cops lied about the results so "the game would be more interesting." I was like "thanks idiot you just made us lose." Mafia is a game you play with a team and I think you should think of those people before your personal fun.

I've never been Third Party, but I'm dying to experience that. It would be an awesome challenge.

Huh. Personally, I think the fun of the game is in that there isn't any hard information to go on, so your "logic" and "deduction" is really just an educated guess. If Mafia were just a logic puzzle, it would be much less interesting. Reading people is the real fun of the game.

That's not to say that I don't think there's

any

logic involved. There most certainly is. But the logic you use is based on guesses about a player's alignment and role, which are based on nothing more substantial than what you think about them based on their posts.

Third-party roles are great, with the exception of the Fool. I despise the Fool.
