Hi all,
-Could everyone share how much they know of the source game? I know a lot of us played the previous game and already have shared that, but it doesn't hurt to share again.
--I downloaded and started playing after the last game, but never actually spent much time playing. I read the wiki and a lot of game guide/resources for flavor cues.
-Given the prevalence of ship-millers and limited/unreliable investigations in the previous game, I am wary of more of the same in this one.
- I still know nothing about the source game except what I picked up in the first iteration of Spy's game-series.
- Why are you talking about Millers/ship-Millers now?
- I don't find that actually scummy and am wondering why my gut does. This time it's really something not formulating itself into even coherent words so I'll save it for a rainy day or something.
@Plum-
The presence of those roles/mechanics in the previous game was greater than what I would have expected. It is plausible that Spyrex would incorporate similar mechanisms into this sequel game. I have a high enough opinion of my expectations that I think it worthwhile to point this out.
OR
You can suspect I'm setting up for a ship-miller claim for myself or a suspected scumbuddy.
OR
You can suspect I'm setting up explanations for future deviations from my normal game play.
I'm a big SC nerdfan. I know way too much about the game. And almost doomed the town last time because of it.

I just don't think it's a profitable line of thought until . . . okay, I guess if people are warned now they might be less likely to reveal themselves with guilty investigations, although in that case it's not like there's any truly right play. It's not that I disagree that there's a very good chance of that being the case, just that I saw no profit from bringing it up now and now I see very little profit in it.
PREVIEW EDIT: I prefer Zito's approach of letting people ingest info > declare stuff openly in thread, but that's more a matter of utility than of your alignment. And was not involved with what affected my gut read on you, either, Kast.

I also downloaded the game but never got very far. I couldn't figure out how to get more fuel . So really I know very little.
vote: Kast
for thinking I was scum last time.
Andy Murray: Two time Wimbledon and one time US Open Champ! Former world number 1!

How does that work? You put them in a distiller and welp, out comes fuel? Like in Dune where they distill their dead for their water (dangit, if I don't know enough to geek out to Star Control I'll get my fix some other way)?
I know absolutely nothing about the source game and was placed here by virtue of /in nexting. I'll do some research on both the game and the previous game over the weekend so I'm not flying (get it?) blindly.
