To me, the pro-town move would be to take a stance on the subject, or even to actually ask "Should we reveal"

GreyIce did neither of these things. His next statement on the subject could have easily been "Of course I think we should" or "Well no we shouldn't".
To me that's wishy washy, "try to float along" thinking which is indicative of scum.
I don't know what annoys me more. Bad Harry Potter fan fiction that gets the facts right, or good Harry Potter fan fiction that doesn't.

Sometimes, when I say "I'm okay", I want someone to give me a hug and say, "Let's watch Doctor Who"

Heh it seems like we can just no-lynch into eternity if we're feeling indecisive with a deadline looming. What's to prevent that?

Does anyone think Umbrage is already chainsawing for GreyIce during RVS?
Emp's case on GreyIce is weak, sure, but getoutofRVSreasoning is always stretchy.
Then again maybe Thingy (Emplover) referring to both scumteams as "wolves" is a slip and he's forgotten there are different types than his own?

1st point. Noted.
2nd point. Everyone's cases are weak considering most are based on the whole null claiming fiasco.
3rd point. Possibly and Noted. Some sites do play werewolf over mafia and refer to scum as wolves but I see where your thinking is coming from.

I am used to the werewolf version of mafia. So we basically call all bad guys wolves. Wasn't a slip :P

I didn't mean to be distracting. I was merely trying to get into the game - also, I did actually heavily suggest the mass mason claim - not saying that I should get villa pts for it, but it should show that I'm not trying to focus on irrelevant matters.

Hmm. Cannot decide if it was actual slip or not.

I wish Espeonage hadn't given him that out, because now I can't tell if it's genuine or not.

@ Baby: Change you avvie to something not as cute.

standing pat on the issue of lover-claiming as it seems to have some controversy to it. I'll confer to my AWESOMESAUCE partner before claiming.

In terms of making my role clearer to people, then yeah, I definitely agree. It's easy villa points to gain, seeing as the bad guys will probably be expecting a mass claim anyway and be willing to suggest it themselves.

In terms of providing an advantage for the village, then it's not irrelevant in the least imo. It is extremely pro-villa to mass claim and anyone has yet to provide a solid counter argument.

This will be the first time I'll trust a Snake. It looks like you got worked up, Grey, over having to correct yourself with the mass claim issue. The reason this question was asked during signups was to eliminate any connection a mass lover claim would have with players' alignment.
xRECKONERx wrote:Massclaim is bad because it conveniently shows scum who they can eliminate simultaneously. That's an advantage for scum. I believe loverclaim should only happen when someone is in danger of a lynch.
xRECKONERx wrote:I didn't realize that scum didn't have NK.

FOS
- feigning ignorance when I KNOW you read the role PMs during signups. I like how you disappeared for 3 hours to let everyone soak it in and give you cheap town points. I'm not lynching you on the first day, but I've got you pegged.
Llamarble wrote:Also since there are no NKs who wins 1scumv1town endgames and so forth?
All of the town in this game will survive. Hakuna matada.

Lover claim: Nero Cain

Also, I'm going to
UNVOTE
because my vote was based on the idea that scum had NK.
1) I'm not lynching Nero today either.
2) So your plan from the start was to goad players into asking you why you had a problem with lover-claiming... mhmm...

@ Baby: I was joking but yeah it's purrtyful.

@ Thingy: You're missing the point. The claiming issue
should never have needed to be discussed.
You're nowhere near the only person to post about about it but the whole thing in and as of itself was stupid and time wasting. Luckily time is a non issue in this game.

Placing vote here because while noone has actually caught my eye for being scummy Thingyman is developing a tendancy to draw away from what is happening in thread. I know he's new but someone that has played quite a bit of Mafia should know to keep things on track unless you want to confuse the town, which has happened.

Most people's votes are null and void thanks to them all being based on misundersdtandings about claiming.
Yes we should mass claim because nothing inherently bad will come of it because the game is nightless so can we just get over that and on with the game?
Okay, cool, we agree. I'm sorry if you felt like I made a too big deal out of it - but I mean, several people are still holding back wrt revealing their partners, which should show that the benefits of mass claiming weren't evident to everyone.
