Since when are we penalizing ideas, bad or good?
Well, not all bad ideas are penalized. They are penalized if they hurt the town, they aren't if they are redundant. Your idea hurts the town. It's no use for me to know your role, although it's use for scum to know your role.

VOTE: Lazmoth

Reasoning:
Mass Role Claim only helps scum.
(Primary)

Death in this game is not as fatal as in others, you might come back to life.
It is a test, so if we mess up - its not a big deal, just important for playtesting and fun.
You're at 3 now, so in 72 hours you'll be dead.
(Secondary)

FOS: Narninian
IFF (if and only if) lazarusmoth turns out to be town, and the motives don't shift tonight...some of those secondary reasons were pretty shoddy.

However, as mentioned, this is an experiment and I'm wanting to see the actual mechanics tested. No vote change for now.

So if LAz is mafia you get credit for 'finding scum'
if Laz is Town - I get a good head start on getting lynched tommorow.

Well, in short, yes - I know what *my* motivations are for doing so. You are free to vote/FOS otherwise.

In addition, there's some differences between your vote and mine. For one thing, I was the 3rd vote for lazmoth under normal circumstances. You put a 4th vote of 5 on while we were under deadline, making it that much harder for lazmoth to fall below the threshold to be deadline lynched. And for another, you specifically mention the deadline as a reason for doing so. If he turns out to be town, then you can lay the blame at the deadline and not yourself for casting the 'lynching vote'. If laz is mafia, we *both* get credit. Do you know already that he's not?

As a matter of fact, all of your "Secondary" reasons seem bogus, because I've already posited that death on Day One is permanent, since there's no way to go back and change your vote, only your night actions, as we don't have any Night Zero actions that would allow different vote results.

It's a 'fun' :? quirk of this game setup that the day on which you are least likely to lynch scum, is the one you can't take it back, ever. If someone can figure out a scenario in which the Day One lynch is reversible, I'm more than willing to hear it.

I do admit I was guilty of proposing a bad idea. I see that now. Count it as something from an inexperienced player, not from scum. I misunderstood the roles and motives bit and wasn't thinking straight.

So those voting for me have a choice, I guess: Believe that it was bad play and inexperience that made me suggest a mass roleclaim or believe that I was scum deliberately proposing something that was so obviously (to you but not to me at that point) not going to work and hoping that a lot of people was going to fall for it.

I do hope you choose the former. I do hate to leave a game because of a posting mistake. *sigh*
There are so many questions I'd like to ask, but we are left watching the checkered board. Our eyes pass over the symmetry. I wish it were possible to achieve such mimicry, to move our pieces in peace ├óÔé¼ÔÇ£ my bishops to church, your wild horses to stable.

I'm guessing about 24 hours to go 'til deadline. lazarus, if you've got another suggestion for a lynch, you'd better make it soon...

I love that movie. Perhaps, I'll suggest it for the movie club. hm.

I think Laz is the good way to go for lynch. On day 1, we don't have anything to help us gague reactions. Though if/when motives shift, that will mess things up as far as reactions. Then again, I guess we could see if people act dramaticly different from one day to the next. Anyway, mass role claim doesn't help the town as many have echoed and only helps scum. So, I'll place the final vote on Laz.

Okay, any choice not in yet were forfeited.

In the morning,
big_kahunia
and
Roland
both wake up dead, shot in the head by identical bullets. They were both pro-town at the time of this post.

A reminder: Even dead people need to have a vote submitted by the end of the day if they want their vote to count for today if they should be pre-incarnated (what a cool word).

With 6 alive, it'll take 4 to lynch.

I want to make perfectly sure before I act. There is just one mafia group, right? Meaning two kills shouldn't have happened? Or are the two independant? Because I've got something if that's the case.

if mafia can time travel with their kills, then they could have chosen to kill on night 2 both times. Since there are identical bullets it does look like that is what happened.

We got a Night One choice and a Night Two choice, right? That could mean two kills timed for today, to try to maximize the death toll. And since there was no causality shift, that probably means two of our pro-town players are dead (3, counting lazarusmoth). There's likely two mafioso, so four pro-town players left.

I think we've got a good shot here at taking this down. Even our dead players are on our side when it comes to voting, and someone out there should have a message from me. Assuming they're not dead, that person can confirm this by pointing out the factual error in the above sentence.

Wait, so then if they had both kills tonight...

I actually have another scenario for what happened last night, and I don't know which one is more likely.

If this is a stupid thing to do, then I blame my lack of sleep last night. If it's a smart thing to do, I'll take all the credit.

I have Laz's role. And I forced Coron to use his action tonight. I was going start off the day voting Coron, but then everyone posted the other thing. So now I'm just confused.

Hmm . . . strange role. But in most circumstances it's not going to do much of anything since people are using their night choices anyway. Still can't explain why there are two night kills. The first theory seems much more likely.
btw,
cam?
, would you mind updating the player's list to show who's dead and who's alive? It would be much appreciated.
