Rabat, Morocco 1800 GMT 3/7/2005


The air in the ancient teashop hinted of the rich aromas of the traditional teas being served in the little cups, this had been a place of relaxation and trade for many years for the Arab merchants whom operated out of the port and for the great corsair captains whom sallied forth to threaten all Christendom with their mighty slave galleys. This land had once been known as Barbary, whose pirates were the scourge of all Christendom and feared on the seas. Now it was just another poor North African country struggling to make ends meet and this ancient little teashop was filled with businessmen dressed in Western suit jackets instead of the traditional dress of the Muslims and to accommodate such clientele the air conditioner had been at work all day. Two very well dressed Arabs had been chatting for a while about life in America and the rendevous they were to make here with their mysterious mutual acquaintance, after all the small talk about the children and soccer practice was over and the men had agreed to a meeting spot, they left the teashop unnoticed by its patrons, leaving behind a solid 200 dirham coin to pay for their tea.

As the first of the men turned the key in the ignition of his rented Honda Accord, it exploded in a fiery inferno that shattered the windows of every shop along the block and knocked the heavy traffic of the street onto their backs. Scratched and bleeding, the other man quickly made a run for Rabat’s many alleyways, frightened and exhausted, the man slowed to stop when he was fairly certain that he had separated himself from the explosion. As he walked towards the main street again, a black van quickly pulled up next to him and several large goons quickly grabbed him and incapacitated him with a tissue laced with a mysterious chemical.




Warsaw, Poland 2300 GMT 3/7/2005

The 2nd man was terrified, he had been strapped in this stainless steel chair and slowly been poked at over the course of the last hour by this strange doctor who was extracting all sorts of things from his body. The first thing he had remembered when he had woke up was the explosion that had taken the life of his friend... the heat of the fiery explosion burning his face as it tore a whole in the street. Now he had prepared himself for whatever horrors he might face, for he was a warrior of Allah and Allah would protect him no matter what came, and if he should fall here, there would be a place in heaven for him with 50 virgins surely.

Dr. Enzo Markovic turned around from his workstation and laughed... a cruel laugh, one of victory and triumph,
"don’t you see that now your cause is doomed? Soon my computer will take the DNA samples I’ve extracted from you and use it to remodel my spies to look exactly like you and I will infiltrate your network and know everything I need to of Kabir and where he keeps his Rambaldi artifact, soon I will be unstoppable, and nothing will stop me. But enough with the chit chat, now you must die."

Those were the last words either of those men heard, for after Markovic poisoned his prisoner, another man plunged his ice pick through Markovic’s skull, killing him instantly.
